Cute house right in the heart of a pretty French village. Two bedroomed, with a sunny roof terrace, it is well maintained and comfortable. Local shops, cafe/restaurant and parking just a few steps away. Stunning scenery and rolling vineyards surround the village, which is perfectly situated for exploring this beautiful area. A great place for walking, cycling, birdwatching. Locally you can find go-karting (10 min drive), river swimming and kayaking (20 min drive). Just a 30 min drive to beaches.

We spent our holiday in Jackie's&Alex's cute house in Autignac - it were really nice and relaxing 10 days. The house is in Autignac, a little town in the beautiful landcsape of Languedoc, in the middle of fields, vineyards and woods. The house itself looks a bit plain from the outside, but is a real piece of juwellery from the inside. On the ground floor you find the kitchen and the living area, on the first floor a bedroom for two (kids) and a bathroom, and on the second floor the main bedroom with a double bed, and another bathroom. And on the top the (our) highlight of the house - a nice little roof terrace (the only one in the neighbourhood, so it's silent up there). The kitchen on the ground floor is well equipped - we cooked several meals there, that we enjoyed later on the roof terrace under the stars. The area has sufficient infastructure, a bakery and two small supermarkets there and a bigger one in the next village, and lots of wineries. A little café around the corner serves coffee in the mornings and meals in the evenings. We mostly started the days lazily with fresh croissants from the nearby bakery and a coffee or two just sitting there and watching people. It is a wine region, so wine tasting is nearly a must, and it is rewarding! We found quite a number of new favourites in Autignac itself and in the surrounding villages. The area is lovely and quiet, with plenty of nice things to see and do. Even the beaches are not too far, but we did go just once, because we were busy enough where we were... Last but not least - the hosts are really nice people. We got plenty of information already in advance, and everything went very smooth. In a selfmade booklet in the house we found even more information about the region, the restaurants, and so on. We had a nice and pleasant dinner with Jackie on one evening (Alex unfortunately was out of town), learning more about landscape and the people living there. We can well recommend the place to people who love quiet and beautiful holidays in the middle of the countryside without too many tourists around. When we will come back into the area we will for sure come back to this lovely little place :-)
