This beautiful apartment with balcony is sure to please for groups of up to two. Our newly-opened boutique residence tucked in a quiet corner just off the heart of Gangnam's best restaurant street is a family owned and operated building expanding on years of hospitality. With 8 units for rent, a cafe soon to open on the first floor, and a meeting space available should you need it, we offer an experience you just can't find anywhere else in this area.
This newly-built building replaces one of the first family-operated guesthouses in Gangnam with a modern experience rivaling that of top hotels while maintaining the homely feel people have come to expect from us.
This unit has a bedroom with a western-style bathroom, a workspace, and a small common area. You also have use of the cafe and meeting space should you need them (please book in advance if you want to conduct a meeting, otherwise the space might already be occupied). On the first floor we have a laundry room including washer and dryer, should you need them.
Interaction with guests
We have staff on-site nearly 24/7 and are easy to contact should you require anything.
Other things to note
We are technically in pre-opening, meaning you will be getting a discount off our normal prices and we would greatly appreciate your feedback to help us fine-tune our service. We may need to drop in to fix small things or have workers stop by for small last-minute things, so please keep that in mind. We will try our best to work around your schedule, but do note it is hard to get the workers in, so we will also need to work around theirs.
To save you money on services most of our guests don't need, we do not include a daily servicing of the apartment, though you can schedule cleanings with us for a small fee.
We do not provide parking at the building, but if you bring a car you can park it an the Nonhyeon Elementary School for a fee.
I’m sorry for the long list of rules, but Airbnb is particular about having it all spelled out here.
If you want to do a photoshoot or film on the property, please contact us and let us know. We are very open to this, but it requires a separate contract. Your Airbnb booking does not include film or photography rights.
No smoking inside (please use the balcony). This allows us to offer a good experience to both smokers and non-smokers, and keeps us from having to repaint our rooms every few months (which would require much higher rates).
No shoes inside (like almost all of Asia). This allows a cleaner experience for everyone.
Don’t hang anything directly on the closet rack--please use the coat hangers for that.
Clean up after yourself and leave the place generally clean when you check out. Sort food waste separately from recycling.
For the sake of the other guests, please be quiet after 10 pm. Don’t disturb anyone else on the property and don’t try to enter any rooms that are not your own.
Turn off the lights and AC when you leave the room, and please keep the curtains closed at night if you have the lights on (the neighbors complain otherwise).
Anyone who comes to the room must be registered with us in advance. Airbnb takes the guest reservation numbers very seriously and your reservation could be terminated immediately with no refund if you are found to have brought in unregistered guests. We really don’t want that to happen to you, so please be sure to register the proper number of guests in advance.
Don't use the heat or AC while the windows are open, and don't use them at the same time. Turn them off when you leave the apartment and be sure to turn them off when you check out. Seoul has major energy initiatives going on and we are trying hard to follow them.
Stick to the agreed-upon check in and check out times. This is very important, since the place is popular and I have to organize getting it set again for each new guest in the short break. Unless we have agreed to a different time (which I'm very open to discussing), follow the listed time.
If you have any problems, ask me! I'm here to help. I hate it when guests have trouble and then don't let me help them.

Kelly, Matt, Katriina, and Alicia host here together. Matt does most of the organization and communication, Kelly manages the backend, Katriina runs the apartments, and Alicia is the cafe manager. We have all been hosting for years and love people.
We all like to travel and all speak excellent English. Kelly also speaks native Korean and basic Chinese, and Katriina speaks Finnish. Kelly's sister speaks fluent Russian. Matt speaks basic Korean and basic Spanish. Alicia speaks Dutch, English, and several other languages.
Kelly has been to over 30 countries and went to high school and college in America. Matt has traveled almost as much as Kelly and is originally from New York, now living in Korea for over 5 years. Katriina is European and has lived in Korea for over two years. Alicia is recently arrived to Korea but is in the process of getting her degree in hospitality.
