The hut itself is small. However that been said what it lacks in size is made up with Character. The place is located in a very isolated location. Has poor phone reception and no 3g. But that is also a good thing. Great view of the stars.. Really good. Can build an outside fire and have a bbq. The hot tub is a must. When I stayed it really was very wet weather however still used the hot tub in the rain. Which was different and fun. Overall a nice night with good hosts. Friendly and helpful.

The pictures do not do it justice. We turned up on a brilliant sunny day and the surrounding land was a amazing. The Shepherds hut was cosy but with plenty of space under the bed for bags. The log fire was right outside the hut with hay bales to sit on. Also had table and chairs. Martin and Siobhan were exceptional hosts; they ensured the fire had plenty of logs ready and gave us kindling and matches, an extra blanket if we got cold, allowed us to pick their award winning apples from the tree (which were delicious), and martin even offered to put Epsom salts into the hot tub for us! There is a kitchen a kitchen and a shower room especially for those staying in the tent and the hut and they have stocked the fridge with bacon, eggs and all the necessities for your stay. There are also people who live in caravans some way along the paths who were also super nice offering us extra kindling and a grill for the fire. Also be sure to watch out for the small cute kitty Minky and the Geese Eric and Penny! Make sure you enquire about the hot tub as it's a first come first served basis between the bell tent and the hut - luckily we got it for both nights of our stay - highly recommend using it once the stars are out - it was like something out of a fairytale, we had never ever seen so many stars - also lit tea-lights. All in all exactly all that we'd hoped for and more - it really was a slice of nature and the perfect place to switch off. We will definitely be back again and maybe try out the tent next time! Highest recommendation from us!

We stayed in the shephards hut and would definitely recommend. Lovely location and very friendly hosts. We recommend the hot tub if it is available. Our little puppy loved exploring the land. Very peaceful and relaxing weekend away. Thank you

Wonderfully quiet location, close to the coast and surrounding towns. Also great if you have a dog. Highly recommended, especially if the hot tub is available for your stay.
