In exchange for sharing a kitchen with our yoga studio, you are welcome to take free classes onsite, and/or take advantage of reduced guest rates for classes at local wineries & breweries.
Interaction with guests
Your hosts were born & raised in the Finger Lakes, and after having graduated from HWS Colleges and spent years seeking out life beyond Geneva (in New York, Los Angeles, London, Sarasota, Costa Rica and Baltimore, to name just a few) the siren song of our hometown called us back. We love welcoming people to this unique place we call home, and consider your choice to spend your vacation time with us an immense honor. Whether it's restaurant recommendations or a new take on your sun salutations, we are happy to provide as much or as little support as you need in planning your stay.
Other things to note
Our property also houses a yoga studio, and we invite you to join us for onsite classes during your stay free of charge! Should you choose not to participate, we request that you please keep noise to a minimum during classes. (We will provide a schedule to you as part of your welcome and post a sign as a reminder!) We also offer discounts to guests for offsite classes at local wineries and breweries, an exciting way to experience the wine trail.
- The property also houses a yoga studio and we strive to be meticulous with dirt. Please remove your shoes upon entering.
- The home was constructed in the 1840s and we ask that you be gentle with it, most of all the plumbing! Please flush only toilet paper.
- Kitchen is shared with the yoga studio, but you will have access to coffeemaker and kettle (we provide coffee & tea), as well as microwave and one dedicated shelf of the refrigerator. Wine glasses, utensils, plates & cups are also provided for your use.
- As is common in areas of New York State with an industrial history, some areas of the yard currently have slightly elevated levels of heavy metals. Exposure requires contact, so we ask that you please refrain from eating too much dirt during your stay :-)
