I had a great stay here! The place is newly renovated so everything felt new, organized, and clean. The bed was SUPER comfy and cozy, and the heater was very powerful so I didn't need to use it much to stay warm. Durga was a great host and easy to communicate with! And the location is great for exploring Ithaca and surrounding areas - 5min drive to the cute town of Trumansburg for some tasty coffee, brunch, dinner, drinks, and bowling! Less than 5min drive to the trails to beautiful Taughannock Falls and Cayuga Lake. 15min drive to the town center of Ithaca!

It was a very nice location..... my only concern is the walkway around the back..... with the rain it was a bit slippery but overall we really enjoyed the space and location was amazing.......

We stayed at Durga's place for a wine country weekend and her home is in a great location for accessing Seneca and Cayuga Lake wineries. For the outdoor enthusiasts, Taughannock Falls is a short hike away and Watkin's Glen and Buttermilk Falls are about 40 minutes away by car. The bed was comfortable and it was nice to have a kitchen available to us.

If you are interested in being close to all that Cayuga Lake has to offer; Hiking Trails, Kayaking, beautiful natural scenery and of course wineries - then this is your place! You can walk to the north rim trails at the Taughannock State Park and hike to the Water falls. Simply a beautiful area! Durga is a wonderful host, and will be as accessible as you want her to be. Her tips regarding the local site-seeing are spot on! Thanks again, Durga!

Durga's place was lovely, and very conveniently located near trails and kayaking. It's just enough distance from Ithaca to be accessible but far away enough to be quiet. We appreciated the simple and nicely presented bagels for breakfast, the neatness and cleanlines of the space and the compact kitchen with enough implements for a short trip. Durga is an unobtrusive host; she gave us helpful brochures to local places of interest which got us onto a couple of trails. Thank you for a very nice stay.

Durga was an amazing host. She was extremely hospitable, making me and my mom comfortable. And so very generous. Offered us b/f on the first day and helpful with tips on where to go. Even offered a free night's stay as Sunday was rainy but we had to head back early Monday morning. Location is 20 mins from Ithaca and the area is beautiful. As mentioned on the post, construction work on patio is ongoing but there wasn't any noise as we stayed the weekend. I would highly recommend this place if you want peace and quiet, not to mention home-made jam! :))

Parimala, Thank you for the review. It was so nice meeting you and your mother, and I wish we had more time together to chat. Sorry about the rain, but I'm glad you found things to do in spite of the weather. The back porch is being completed today, so next time there will be patio furniture and a place to relax and take in the great outdoors! Hope to see you again!

My wife and I had a great stay in Durga's apartment. The place is newly renovated, clean, quiet and neat. It also has a fully equipped new kitchen. The place is right next to the Taughannock State Park. The hiking trailhead is just a few steps away from the apartment. We actually spent two days in hiking, picnicking and enjoying the Saturday music concert in the park. It is about 15 min easy drive to downtown Ithaca or 20 min to Cornell. Durga is a great host. She introduced the area to us, took us to the hideout trailhead and even delivered the breakfast to us every morning. We are very impressed! Will definitely book this place again next time visiting our daughter in Cornell.
