Very bright flat/apartment with 2 terraces overlooking the sea. As main residence for the landlord -who lives somewhere else for part of the year - this apartment is fully furnished and equipped. The apartment is located in a complex of buildings (condominium) not far from the center of Riomaggiore: from here you can easily reach the village, the sea and the train station in a few steps - about 500 m. A private car box is also included in the property.

The space

The apartment includes a fully equipped kitchen, with all the appliances and accessories needed for cooking and eating. From the kitchen you will have access to the smaller one of the two apartment's terraces. Here you can have your meals on a beautiful, artist-handmade half-moon shaped counter in front of a stunning panoramic view. It is after this piece of artwork, beautifully hand-decorated in a marine theme, that the apartment is named after (“Mezzaluna” means in fact “Half Moon”).
The spacious living room includes a big, comfortable sofa and a crystal dining table. From here you can have access to the largest apartment's terrace.
The sleeping area includes 2 bedrooms, one with a double bed, with access to the terrace, and the other one with 3 single beds.
The washing machine is placed in the locker on the landing in front of the entrance door.

Interaction with guests

All of us will be available for you via Airbnb and cell phone messaging or call! In case of emergencies Paolo, our family´s pensioner, can be there in about 30 minutes, unless unforeseen.
For check-in and check-out we are more flexible than the indicated timings! You can always reach an agreement with us, considering both yours and our needs!

Other things to note

The flat is located in a condominium: please be quiet and respectful in order not to disturb neighbors.
Our family is very sensitive to environmental issues and respectful of the planet: we thus believe that each individual's action is important.
Since waste (of any kind) is useless, and it still causes resource consumption and pollution, we are expecting from our guests an appropriate behavior.

Erica’s place was exactly as described in her listing. Apartment was very clean and decorated beautifully. We had great views from both balconies. Kitchen was well equipped - only missing a kettle. The apartment is located just a short walk up from the train station and was perfect for exploring the cinque-terre region. We were also very happy to have a parking spot. Paulo (Erica’s father) was very helpful showing us the way to the apartment and settling us in. He also gave us a parting gift of his family’s wine. Wifi was limited. Be sure to have Erica explain the usage rule. Would definitely book here again - really loved our short stay. Thanks again for a great stay.

We stayed at Erica's apartment for one week while we were in Cinque Terre and used it as our base for exploring the other villages. This was our 22nd Airbnb that we have stayed in this year while on our travels. It was appointed as shown in the pictures and clean and very quiet at night as it is not on the main street of Riomaggiore. Quick access to the train station is also a plus. We would definitely consider staying here again if we decided to base in Riomaggiore in the future. Here are some additional comments: Pluses: Huge deck area with two reclining chairs and sun awnings for shade. Larger washing machine that we have seen in Italy. Erica and Paolo were very responsive to all of our questions. Paolo met us at the train station and escorted us to the apartment. Please note that Paolo speaks limited English. Paolo provided us with his home-made bread and wine! Fully equipped kitchen. Lots of clothes storage. The master bed was adjustable for the head and feet! Microwave! Minuses: TV has local only stations. It is not a smart TV. WiFi GBs was limited (you should discuss with Erica ahead of time to fully understand this policy). No screens on windows so we could not enjoy the cool breeze since flies and mosquitoes would get into the house.

A little bit of a climb up the hill from the train station, but the views and apartment are worth the walk. The kitchen has everything you might need, and the rest of the apartment is comfortable and clean. Erica was quick to respond to any questions I had about our stay, and her father was kind enough to see us off with a parting gift of pesto. I would happily stay there again.

We had a great stay in Ericas apartment. It's huge (including two balconies) and beautifully furnished! Erica was very quick to reply to messages and very helpful. She arranged for her father to meet us at the train station and showed us to the apartment. We arrived later than expected due to delays with the train and her parents showed us where there was some food in the cupboards to make dinner, which was much appreciated. We were confused about how to use the washing machine, but Erica replied to our message immediately to give advice. I'd definitely recommend staying here. Thanks again for a wonderful stay!

Fantastic place, can't say enough good things about it. It's a bit of a hike up from the train station, but the elevation allows for great views (and most any walk in the Cinque Terre involves navigating hills). Layout of the apartment is great, kitchen is well stocked with utensils and appliances. Fabulous!

This apartment was about the nicest airbnb place I have stayed. It was beautifully decorated, the kitchen was all new, the terraces had a view of the sea and we enjoyed our wine there. Erica met us at the station and helped with our suitcases. The apartment was quiet but a short walk to the train station and restaurants in the village.

Erica's is a 10 minute walk from the village centre. Lovely and quiet with incredible views of the sea and mountains. There are 2 balconies and lots of space. Erica was a lovely host and I would book again! Thanks :D
