Short weekend UK Yoga retreats are expensive. Usually you'll be sharing a room with someone you may not know and be part of a large group.
Welcome to my affordable, bespoke YogaBnB by the sea. I believe it is unique and offers an easy way to get away from it all for a couple of days. Situated in a beautiful, unspoilt location, just 52 mins on the fast train from St Pancras and two miles from the Eurotunnel. You'll not only have your own private double room all to yourself, but you'll also enjoy comfortable beds and the luxury of Egyptian cotton linen and towels and fluffy feather pillows and duvets.
Come over a workshop weekend or grab a mid-week break and feel free to treat my home as your own. Relax, walk, swim in the English Channel (weather permitting!). The sea is just a few mins walk. Vegetarian evening meals can be provided, with notice, at a small additional charge (£15 for two courses ).
Recent review, before listing on AirBnB:
"Brilliant weekend staying with Kyra at her fabulous Yoga B & B. The location is perfect-easy to find-clean and comfortable guest accommodation with a great outlook over part of the Hythe section of the Royal Military Canal and even a view of the sea. I stayed in the beautiful attic bedroom —so cosy, with very a comfortable bed-and it was just glorious to see the sunrise from the window up there. A wholly peaceful ambiance.
This was my first experience of Iyengar Yoga. It was a challenge, but I loved every minute, thanks to Kyra’s careful instruction and attention to detail of everybody’s positions. I will definitely be back for more! The idea of being able to practice yoga and stay with this amazing teacher at the same time is pretty unique and innovative in my opinion! “

I will be around for a chat and/or a cup of tea or you can have all the space you would like. There are some beautiful walks and places to see, shop, eat etc.
You may find some inspiration by reading my blogs. The posts cover the local areas, my move from London to Kent/the renovation of my house, and my initial teacher training in India which can be found on my website KyraYoga com
Seabook is just on the outskirts of Hythe, approx 3 miles south of Folkestone and approx 10 miles south of Dover.
It is incredibly peaceful and quiet and is surrounded by outstanding natural beauty. The sea is a few mins walk and the canal is in my front garden!
I have recently extensively renovated my Victorian fisherman's cottage and I believe you will find it warm and comfortable.
Yoga BnB by the sea is easy to find being just a mile or so off the M20 and a couple of miles from the Channel Tunnel. Dover is approx 10 miles. The fast HS1 link train from London St Pancras to Folkstone West is just 52 mins. From Folkestone West the taxi is approx 5 mins (I may be able to pick you up). Hythe is a pleasant 20-30 min sea or canal walk into town (or a few stops on the bus) as is Folkstone where you'll find the Harbour Arm and harbour, creative quarter and high street.
There are three bedrooms in the cottage. Two are available for rental over the yoga mid-week nights (Tuesday and Wednesday) and over my bi-monthly yoga workshops (Saturdays 10-1pm). Should you wish to extend your stay to link the two, please contact me directly.
The rooms are available on a BnB basis. Where there is a morning class, I offer the usual tea/coffee/herbal tea etc as well as a fresh vegetable juice and fruit and toast if preferred. On days were there is no yoga (for example on a Sunday morning after a workshop) then a cooked veggie breakfast is available (between 8-10am).
The yoga class(es) are an additional fee (classes are either £7 for 60 mins or £9 for a 75/90min class) these are held locally and I am more than happy to drive you there. The half-day yoga workshops are £25 when paid/booked in advance (£30 thereafter, please contact me for details.)
Please advise any health issues/concerns, in advance of booking. I'm sorry but these classes are not suitable for pregnancy or until three months after your birth.
No need to bring mats / equipment as I have everything, but you are welcome to bring your own if you would prefer.
A vegetarian evening meal can be arranged with adequate notice for £15 (2 courses).
Interaction with guests
I'm usually around to help with local attractions, walks, restaurants etc. or just to have a cup of tea and a chat .
