Glamping (Glamorous Camping) is fun in my 2017 Minnie Winnie. Enjoy Pocono Mountains with local attractions in the comfort of a brand new Travel Trailer. The trailer is stationary on a historic piece of property. Marshall Creek Mastodon was discovered in the 1960's. Excellent for families for camping. Close to grocery shopping. Power and water, and sewer (honey wagon) service provided. Outdoor kitchen and propane BBQ grill. Chairs and Table. Camper is 100 feet from house / 200 from parking.
The campsite is on my property - 4 acres including a pond that has turtles and fish, birds and various other wildlife. It is a historic location where the Marshall Creek Mastodon was found. More info. on the Mastodon can be found via internet search and in the local library of Monroe County. Trailer is located in my backyard, close to the house, but private.
You will park your vehicles in my private drive, and then a short walk to the travel trailer location, where it is parked, overlooking the pond. While the trailer is located close to the house for convenience, you will still have total privacy and a scenic view of the pond.
Interaction with guests
There will be someone onsite to help you with questions and anything you would need.
Other things to note
Electric and water are provided, and sewer service via a honey wagon will be available.
We hope you enjoy your stay GLAMPING in the Poconos!
Here are the house rules:
Quiet time is from 10p - 8a
Large remote for Apple TV, use the Media Center device
Do not leave trash outside, bag it, tie it tight and leave it in the trash can, or the neighborhood raccoons will come and spread it around the yard.
In case of rain, vents should be closed in bedroom and bathroom, hammock rolled up, and chairs under awning.
We also have bears, yes this is the woods! Don’t leave anything that smells like food outside. If you’d like to go out in the woods, please take a dog with you. Explore the area around the pond, and search ‘Marshall Creek Mastodon’.
Poison Ivy is a vine has three leaves, please be aware of it.
The parking spot in the front is for you. It fits two cars.
Please don’t climb on top or under the camper.
Use toilet paper sparingly. Camper toilets are sensitive and too much paper will block them.
Use water at a minimum. NOTHING down the sinks (food, garbage, grease, etc). Your camping in the great outdoors so challenge yourself to be GREEN!
Turn off all lights and air when not in use, and avoid high consuming appliances like hair dryers, they will blow a fuse.
Please leave the camper in the same condition that you find it in:
Spills and food stains will attract ants and bugs, so please use clorox wipes (supplied) regularly
Wash dishes and utensils with hot water
Wipe down the grills, burners and countertops to avoid animals and bugs.
