Quirkly loft conversion with toilet ensuite in a bungalow close to all amenities, metro station and within walking distance of the sea. Owner is well travelled and a warm welcome is extended to people worldwide. Easy access to Newcastle upon Tyne, and attractions of Northumberland and Durham etc. The town itself has an attractive seafront and there are some lovely walks and a variety of eclectic and interesting restaurants.
The space
Semi-detached bungalow in a quiet residential area. Room has a double (4'6") bed and there is a small single bed that can also be used if 2 people prefer separate beds. The stairs are not suitable for very young children. The room has a T.V and kettle and tea/coffee. I would be willing to negotiate for a third person staying in the smaller bed, but do not list it as accommodating 3.
Guest access
Unfortunately, and apologies to previous visitors - I hope you will understand, due to Covid the kitchen and courtesy breakfast will not be available for the time being. Tea and coffee etc will still be in the room. Guests will have their own WC but the shower is shared and will be recleaned as usual after every use.

The beach is a five minute walk, and it is a pleasant stroll or drive to the Lighthouse There is nearby countryside which is popular for walkers and cyclists. Cinema and shops are all within walking distance or an easy bus ride. There are a lot of good quality restaurants nearby. It is a quiet residential neighbourhood, but there is a small shopping precinct within a few minutes walk. Hadrian's Wall, Durham Cathedral and the attractions of Newcastle and Northumberland are all accessible.

Hi, I am an older person who believes in 'growing old disgracefully'! My version of a 'blue rinse' is to have blue and purple stripes in my copper coloured hair:-)) I have visited New Zealand, China, Japan, India, Uzbekistan, most of Europe, lived in the USA and probably missed somewhere I have been. I love reading and theatre going as well as travelling, and although of advanced years, I still work and love working with young persons and find people ( and their lives) interesting.

During your stay
I work part-time and am frequently out, so guests can be self sufficient if I am not around. I am happy to give information about the area - local attractions and 'what's on'. I enjoy chatting to people but am happy to respect people's space if they so wish. I just want people to relax and feel comfortable.
