Both our houses are designed in the contemporary style. We used custom made decor and cherry tree furniture. A lot of windows, glass doors, bright and open space are inside the house. It is very quiet outside. You most likely will be alone at the beach. We share the whole sea cove with only one neighboring house. It is a pure paradise if you want to live on the beach on your own and within minutes of driving to the main local attractions. You'll be amazed of our botanical garden and landscape.

The space

The property offers everything your family needs for a quintessential New England vacation. With 200 feet of sea shore front, the land plot has plenty of space right near the water – about 1 acre of green lawn, great beach, shore front fire pit amphitheater, fantastic stone patio for outside dining, great evergreen botanical garden, collection of Japanese maples that have beautiful leaves changing colors three times during the spring, summer and absolutely spectacular during October - November, rosary with a number of David Austin varieties, rhododendron and azalea garden, hydrangeas of different varieties, apple trees and high bush blueberry gardens, peonies, lavender and much more. The main house is situated just 50 feet from the water and the sound of the waves will caress your ears throughout your vacation. The large families will feel comfortable inside the main house with three bedrooms. Views of the bay and all major Acadia's mountains from both the outdoor deck and living room with floor-to-ceiling windows/sliding doors. An open floor allows for an optimal space to gather multiple generations of your family for a Maine vacation! There are 2 bathrooms, great wooden porch, and sea view balcony with seating hammocks! All local attractions such as Acadia National Park, Bar Harbor village, restaurants and shops are just 15-25 minutes away by car. There are tons of great activities for children and the whole family all around!

Equipped with fully furnished, gourmet open kitchen, grand dining and family room to entertain as well as plenty of spaces to curl up with a good book, this contemporary style house has everything you could want.

The attached guest house includes additional bedroom (king-size bed and a queen-size sleeper sofa), living room, bathroom and a kitchenette (featuring a sink, refrigerator, microwave and a toaster). The guest house is connected to the main house by a gorgeous stone path running through the bushes of hydrangeas, azaleas and many other plants that will create the impression that you live in the garden.

Please read any books available on the shelves or play any board games you see. We do not have cable TV on purpose, but you may use a DVD player or USB or HDMI cables for watching movies. TV is also WiFi connected so you can watch your Internet channels. WiFi works inside the main house and outside.

Guest access

Linens and towels are provided. Just bring your personal items and sunscreen! You can use anything that looks available (not covered or locked) to you, but only at your own risk and care. You can't use bicycles. For plant lovers: botanical garden and other plants are not for cutting. Please let us know if you see that any plant does not feel well. Please always have a bucket of water when you make an open fire and do it in the fire pit at the amphitheater only.

Interaction with guests

We will not be around during your stay. There always will be somebody in the area whom you may call and ask for help. You may contact us directly using contact info in the house instruction.

Other things to note

We do not allow pets and smoking in our houses.

A truly beautiful property with a great view. Beautiful spot to sit and relax while reading a book or enjoying a glass of wine. Lots of space and things to do within driving distance. Very nice and Olga is very responsive. Thank you.

This amazing cottage is spectacular and cannot possibly disappoint!! We stayed 6 days and loved every single second. The nautical theme and attention to detail was exceptional. You gotta see the deck facing the (URL HIDDEN) well as the kitchen counter and nautical hooks throughout. The view - directly on the water - is breathtaking. We enjoyed using the kayaks, evening fires, eating on the outside patio, enjoying the gardens and the easy, close access to Acadia National Park - a MUST!! Olga made communication seamless and was very responsive. The cottage is well appointed which made it feel like our own home.

My family (wife and two young kids age 5 and 7) had a pretty perfect stay in "Chickadee Cove" - we really couldn't recommend it more highly. The location is convenient to Acadia and Bar Harbor but the reason to stay is the setting - it is spectacular. The views and direct access to water are superb. We were lucky with weather but every day was serene and peaceful. Olga's landscaping is not to be missed either - beautiful plantings on the property make you feel like you're in a garden. The house is incredibly neat and tidy and the amenities are perfect for a small family (the second house would be convenient for another couple too). After an entire week there we were still sad to leave. We look forward to returning someday.

Olga's place was great for our family vacation. It's close to Bar Harbor/Acadia without being in the middle of the hubbub. My cousin and his family rented a house close by so they were able to come over and eat with us in the beautiful backyard overlooking the bay.

This house is perfect for a family vocation. There are many accessories such as head lamp, bicycles, water shoes, and even kayaks. The house is located by the water and also close to a gas station, a grocery store, and a restaurant. We also bought some fresh lobsters and cooked by ourselves. Overall, it is a comfortable and convenient house with beautiful views. At the same time, we got replies very quickly from the owner. We will definitely recommend this house to others who want to visit Acadia National Park or whoever want to have a relaxing vocation.

I traveled a lot and I did not find a better place than the coast of Maine, US. I summer here since 2008 and it is never enough for me. I liked this area so much that I have built a house in a lovely sea cove overlooking the mountains of Acadia National Park on Mount Desert Island. I love plants and landscaping. I designed and take care of my small botanical garden in Trenton that is full of colors and scents of blooming plants as well as collections of corniferns and japanese maples.
