This historic College Hill newly renovated apartment is close to everything, including restaurants, shops, galleries, RISD, Brown, Waterfire and beautiful parks. Our apartment has all the comforts of home, providing the perfect base while you explore the great little city of Providence and surrounding areas of Warwick, Newport, Block Island, Boston and Martha's Vineyard. Breathe in the history of our neighborhood as you walk along the same sidewalk that Edgar Allen Poe used to walk.
We searched for many months to find a perfect location for our daughter to live in while attending Rhode Island School of Design. The apartment is located on one of the prettiest, most convenient streets in Providence. Whole Foods and Starbucks are just over half a mile away on North Main Street. Geoff's Superlative Sandwiches and Den Den Cafe Asiana are two excellent restaurants that are feet from the apartment.
You will be given the entire apartment, as well as have access to a common area in the basement, where a washer and dryer are located. Please do not allow children in the basement.
Interaction with guests
I will always be available via text during your stay, but will otherwise give you your own space.
Other things to note
In order to protect our clients with pet allergies, we ask you to please note that if you bring your pet, you will be charged an additional $30.00 pet fee, which will cover the additional cleaning needed. This fee will be added after the reservation is made, which you will need to approve.
Children are not permitted in the basement. Guests must be respectful of our neighbors and not make excessive noise, especially when outside in the courtyard. No radios or music outside the apartment, please.
I am a life-long resident of Woodstock, New York, where I live with my husband, our two daughters, three dogs and two cats. I'm a nature lover, so having a backdrop of mountains, trees, meadows and wild creatures as my home is pretty ideal. The nature theme is also evident in my artwork, which I exhibit in Lotus, my gallery/boutique in the village. We also represent a large group of local artisans, including painters, sculptures, jewelers, and potters. We created the Hill House rental in Saugerties from what was once a sad, tired old home with good bones. We gave it a makeover that took two years to complete and we tried to incorporate elements that made the house fun, unusual, and special. These touches can be seen in the bright yellow kitchen cabinets, the hand painted chandeliers throughout the home, and original artwork and prints that show local scenes from the Catskills and Hudson Valley. We love where we live and we hope we can play a small part in making your stay special! Ask us questions- we are happy to share our knowledge of the Hudson Valley and little communities that are dotted throughout the area.
