Comfort and value in West Toronto! For 1 solo guest only! Very safe, friendly, and community-minded area of the city. You're not far from downtown, and you'll have a nice quiet neighborhood. Enjoy the beautiful landscaped back yard full of plants and flowers, and a sun-filled patio. Non-smoking, and home to a friendly indoor/outdoor cat, Marla. This is a very LGBTQ-friendly place.
Enjoy this room with a view out to the back yard and lots of storage space. This is a 2 bedroom 900 square foot lower-level apartment with windows in every room. The place has a newly renovated eat-in kitchen with an updated bathroom just off the kitchen. You're welcome to hang out in the shared spaces - the den and kitchen and the back yard. My cat Marla will also want to meet you!
You will be welcome to share the living room, eat-in kitchen, and bathroom with just 1 other person. This is a good place for quiet people.
Interaction with guests
I live in the apartment upstairs so we may share a conversation. But our interaction may be minimal.
Other things to note
For quiet people.
The shower best fits people 5'11" and under....
I have a beautiful and friendly 12-year-old cat, Marla. She's super affectionate and is basically the primary host of this place. :)
No smoking inside or in back or front yard.
For transit: please use a map, or look up Toronto Transit Commission (TTC). I unfortunately do not have the time to plan your commutes.
1 guest only.
Quiet time after 11pm.
Nothing but water in bedroom (no eating/drinking in bed).
Help yourself to fruit, cereal, bread for breakfast - please bring your own food otherwise.
Please keep common spaces (kitchen, den, backyard) relatively clean and organized.
If you are here more than 2 days you can use laundry, just use it 7-10pm, or anytime on weekends.
There is a street you can park on for free that is 1 minute away.
Have fun, feel free to ask me questions, and enjoy your time! :)
I'm currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto. I research LGBTQ health issues. I also work in research and higher education. I previously worked in mental health research and social work (MSW). If you look up my name you will find my research and writing.... I became a first-time Toronto home owner about 3 years ago, just before I started my PhD. AirBnB helps soften my massive mortgage + housing costs on my modest student budget. Plus I get to meet interesting people!
