Comfort and value in West Toronto! For 1 solo guest only! Very safe, friendly, and community-minded area of the city. You're not far from downtown, and you'll have a nice quiet neighborhood. Enjoy the beautiful landscaped back yard full of plants and flowers, and a sun-filled patio. Non-smoking, and home to a friendly indoor/outdoor cat, Marla. This is a very LGBTQ-friendly place.

The space

Enjoy this room with a view out to the back yard and lots of storage space. This is a 2 bedroom 900 square foot lower-level apartment with windows in every room. The place has a newly renovated eat-in kitchen with an updated bathroom just off the kitchen. You're welcome to hang out in the shared spaces - the den and kitchen and the back yard. My cat Marla will also want to meet you!

Guest access

You will be welcome to share the living room, eat-in kitchen, and bathroom with just 1 other person. This is a good place for quiet people.

Interaction with guests

I live in the apartment upstairs so we may share a conversation. But our interaction may be minimal.

Other things to note

For quiet people.
The shower best fits people 5'11" and under....
I have a beautiful and friendly 12-year-old cat, Marla. She's super affectionate and is basically the primary host of this place. :)

This place was so perfect for the price. Quiet neighborhood blocks from the bus 15 min from the junction where you can grab a variety of eats. If your thinking blow up mattress or not too comfortable think again I was very impressed and slept super well. Backyard was sunny and nice and Kinnon is super on top of all the amenities. Private entrance makes it feel like your own spot. Highly recommended.

The living conditions at Keenon meet all the requirements for rest and work during the trip to Toronto. Quiet business to the main highways of the district. Hospitable host. Surprised strange neighbor, which does not detract from the advantages of living.

Response from Kinnon:
Thanks for staying Abubakari - I'm curious, you're the only guest who has ever given me 3 stars and yet I went beyond in my hosting for you. So when you say 'good' are you referring to me letting you check-in in the middle of the night at no extra fee when my check-in hours are 3pm-9pm? Does 'good' refer to the extra clean towels and bedding I washed myself and gave to you halfway through your stay, when you had access to laundry and could have done it yourself? Or does 'good' refer to the value (you paid 16.00 CAD per night which included breakfast, hot showers, toiletries, towels, laundry access, unlimited wifi and more)... And on top of that I provided you with referrals to Settlement Agencies when you expressed an interest in immigrating to Canada. You are very welcome for those goods and services (at a price less than 1/2 of what other airbnb rooms are going for).

Kinnon is a great host who is very understanding and helpful! The room was tidy but also homy and I loved it. I'm so glad that I found his place. It was a lovely neighbourhood and also close to both buses and train.

I'm currently a PhD Candidate at the University of Toronto. I research LGBTQ health issues. I also work in research and higher education. I previously worked in mental health research and social work (MSW). If you look up my name you will find my research and writing.... I became a first-time Toronto home owner about 3 years ago, just before I started my PhD. AirBnB helps soften my massive mortgage + housing costs on my modest student budget. Plus I get to meet interesting people!
