Ramzi's Beirut:
Perfectly located in between the two most fashionable neighborhoods, Gemmayze & Mar Mikhaël, plus Beirut's downtown is just at the end of the street. With many trendy boutiques, art galleries, antique furniture stores in Mar Mikhaël (the new hub for art and creativity); And, many bars, restaurants and cafés, the location is a hotspot for Beirut party-goers, art lovers, or street wanderers.

The space

This is one of the few remaining old traditional Lebanese buildings after the war. Many old buildings were lost during the war, and unfortunately, others are continually being demolished to make way for modern buildings. Beirut has now less than 300 buildings of heritage architecture remaining, while it used to have 1600 heritage buildings. The apartment has traditional high ceiling as it was accustomed in the old days, and the beautiful tiles in all the rooms, that are now impossible to find.

Guest access

You will be having a big private bedroom (18 sq.m). The apartment has two bathrooms, both of which are shared with me or other guests that might be there during your stay. Both bathrooms include showers.
I can sometimes arrange a private bathroom specifically for the room, but ask me before booking if this is important for you.
You have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and a big living room, and a balcony.

Interaction with guests

Most of the time I am in the apartment, however, sometimes I rent my room but do remain in a nearby place. I respect your privacy if you need it, however, I am always interested in having a coffee/drink if your time allows, to get to know each other and help you understand and see the city as I do.

I had a fantastic stay with Ramzi, he’s a great host and the apartment was wonderful. He kindly arranged a taxi to collect me at the airport and made sure I found the place easily. I spent a few months in Beirut last year so I know this city well and I can’t imagine a better location to stay, close to bars and restaurants but also downtown and the bus station if you want to travel elsewhere in Lebanon. The apartment is clean and spacious, the bedroom is nice and typically Lebanese. The bed is huge and comfortable and the shared bathrooms are clean and modern. The living area is comfortable and trendy and perfect if you need to work (as I did, with good internet) or chill and make new friends with other guests. I would highly recommend a stay at Ramzi’s place.

Ramzi's place is great! Couldn't recommend it more highly. Amazing location, close to all the bars and restaurants and felt safe. The flat/room is clean and tidy, and has everything you need. It has a great living area and balcony. Ramzi was super helpful with everything I needed, any questions, recommendations for beirut etc.

I have been traveling for quite a while and Ramzi'a place is far and away the best place I have stayed in. It is the perfect combination of privacy as well as being able to meet others and have local recommendations. Ramzi took us along with his friends to a local beach for a day, he cooked all the guests a traditional Lebanese dinner, and always provided us with cool events to go to and amazing local recommendations. I cannot speak highly enough of this Airbnb, I am sending all of my friends to Ramzi without a doubt.

I recently created a concept called: "Ramzi's Beirut" which is renting private bedrooms in a shared apartment with focus on the local culture. At first I thought of it as a guesthouse, later the word guesthouse was just not accurate in reflecting the concept. I want visitors to s…
