Perfectly located in between the two most fashionable neighborhoods, Gemmayze & Mar Mikhaël, plus Beirut's downtown is just at the end of the street. With many trendy boutiques, art galleries, antique furniture stores in Mar Mikhaël (the new hub for art and creativity); And, many bars, restaurants and cafés, the location is a hotspot for Beirut party-goers, art lovers, or street wanderers.
This is one of the few remaining old traditional Lebanese buildings after the war. Many old buildings were lost during the war, and unfortunately, others are continually being demolished to make way for modern buildings. Beirut has now less than 300 buildings of heritage architecture remaining, while it used to have 1600 heritage buildings. The apartment has traditional high ceiling as it was accustomed in the old days, and the beautiful tiles in all the rooms, that are now impossible to find.
You will be having a big private bedroom (18 sq.m). The apartment has two bathrooms, both of which are shared with me or other guests that might be there during your stay. Both bathrooms include showers.
I can sometimes arrange a private bathroom specifically for the room, but ask me before booking if this is important for you.
You have access to a fully equipped kitchen, and a big living room, and a balcony.
Interaction with guests
Most of the time I am in the apartment, however, sometimes I rent my room but do remain in a nearby place. I respect your privacy if you need it, however, I am always interested in having a coffee/drink if your time allows, to get to know each other and help you understand and see the city as I do.
Other things to note
The bathroom is shared.
The apartment is on the 3rd floor, no elevator.
