You will absolutely love staying here! Coined StudioGreenSpace for a reason! Modern. Nature-Inspired. Peaceful. Zen-like.

Guests enjoy renting our (2) white, 7-speed, cruiser-bikes to get around! Within minutes from Downtown, Convention Center, UT, TownLake Bike Trail, Rainey + E 6th Streets. 10min drive from the airport, Barton Springs/Zilker, SoCo, and the Circuit of the Americas track. You'll find yourself in one of the best locations in the city for whatever your plans!

The space

A very bright + beautiful private room all to yourself, within a stunningly unique and comfortable designer home, in the fun and friendly eclectic neighborhood of East Austin. I’ve put a’lotta love in this house, and I hope you enjoy it as your home away from home in Texas. As you'll see during your stay, and you can read about in the photos, I've paid a lot of attention to detail.

I’ve focused on making a space that mixes modern minimalism with touches of nature! Grass is my favorite color! You'll find everything you need here - easy access, security, super fast wifi, storage for luggage and clothes, comfortable furniture, ample linens and towels, lots of natural light, focus on conservation + green cleaning, and, of course, a very, very clean, well-kept space.

Feel close to nature, yet walk or bike around all of East Austin/Downtown from here! Just 1 mile straight east of the Texas Capitol! See NEIGHBORHOOD below for more details to help you plan your fun days + nights around town, and see driving/biking distances to Austin’s most exciting + beloved places!

This is the place for you if you prefer a quiet, peaceful, low-key setting with a friendly, mature + knowledgeable host, and a respectful fellow guest or two. I strongly cater to the business professional in town for work, or the solo traveler or mindful couple in town for low-key recreation + leisure! I steer away the guests who like to be out till late at night, hopping from bar to bar, and I attract the conscious-foodie, early-to-bed/early-to-rise, active, outdoor health-enthusiast, catch-a-movie, hike the greenbelt, kayak Townlake type of traveler! If that describes you, too, you will totally love staying here!

It’s luxury at a great price, and you’ll be close to everything!

I hope you'll find this as your perfect retreat while exploring Austin, or as a place where you can work comfortably, as you're doing business in our city. Please see the photos + descriptions for more details. I look forward to hosting you, and welcome to Texas!

Interaction with guests

Hi! I’m Lana, and I live on-site, and manage this home for Devon. Perhaps my favorite part of Airbnb is getting to interact with my guests. I love to meet you upon arrival and sometimes see you off when you leave. I make it my personal mission to insure you have an exceptionally fabulous time staying with me as your host in this amazing home! By the time you leave Austin, I want us to feel like life-long friends! I love sharing meaningful conversations over a glass of wine or tea, and guiding you towards the best experiences imaginable during your time out and about in Austin!

I promise to be the best host you could ask for, and I ask the same as my guest in return! Great Host + Great Guest = Great Experience!

I'm ALSO more than just a host in the house for you! I'll happily take you on a personal guided city bicycle tour to show you all the bike paths and trails to get to the best Austin attractions and activities! Plus, I can lead you on a city photo safari! And, to top it off, I'm a professional photographer, if you need new headshots or vacation photography! Just inquire with your ideas, and I'll give you a price quote! Once you book the room, I can send you the link to my professional photography site, and we can start planning vacation adventures!

Other things to note

Managing your Expectations:

EVERY HOST HAS A CERTAIN HOSTING STYLE, and from experience, some guests will not enjoy staying here. In order to prevent negative reviews and unhappy guests or an unhappy host (me!), please consider if the following things will affect you. If you can answer yes to any of the questions below, for both our sakes, you MAY want to book a different type of property. Ideally, choose a whole-house rental instead of a private room with an on-site host set-up, like this one.

Do you like to keep to yourself, and don’t really care to befriend your host?

It’s important that there’s an immediate sense of trust between us. This home is, after all, the place I call home. It’s very special to me, and I love sharing the space with wonderful people. Please remember, a host’s home is not an impersonal hotel. I want to feel good and safe having each guest in my home, and a big part of that comes from friendly interactions, and getting to know each other a bit! I value positive interactions with everyone. No one is a stranger! Everyone is a friend I haven’t met yet!

Do you need very cold AC to sleep at night or you get cranky if it’s too warm?

Guests don’t have access to the thermostat, and the house temperatures lean on the side of moderately cool, but not cold. Please tell me if you are uncomfortably warm, but first try all tools in your control: ceiling + floor fans, a cool shower, or breezes from an open window. Guests should be flexible with warmer house temps, in general, as energy conservation is a focus, and it’s costly to cool an entire 2-story home in the summer months (June, July, August). A/C is on minimally by day, when guests are usually away, more so at night during sleeping hours, but never significantly cold. I ask guests staying here to be VERY flexible with temperature ranges, because individual temperature comforts are very subjective. Going through 100+ degree Austin summers, locals become quite heat-adapted to save energy.

Do you plan to hit the Austin bars + clubs to excess until late at night?

Coming back to the house drunk is not okay. Too many bad past experiences with drunk/ill guests. When such a guest is up all night, sick in the bathroom, he/she is likely disturbing others trying to sleep in the house. The shared bathroom will smell bad, and will likely need extra cleaning with bleach (by me in the middle of the night). As a host, I will no longer be put in that kind of stressful position to look after a guest in that condition. A drunk guest will be asked to leave immediately, and go sleep it off at a hotel.

With a whole-house rental, you’ll have complete privacy, you’ll have control over the thermostat, and you’ll have a private bathroom to yourself.
