The space

Vancouver has been consecutively rated as one of the most livable & beautiful cities in the world for more than a decade. Ever since we hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics, Vancouver has been continuously attracting more and more travelers from all over the world to explore and fall in love with our beautiful city. If you are a sports fan, you can watch our exciting professional sports teams in the MLS, NHL, WHL etc.. If you are more interested in participating in sports yourself, there is nothing here that you can’t do. Skiing, snowboarding, hiking, boating, sailing, wind surfing, kayaking, white water rafting, cycling and so much more…you name it, we got it! If you are a music fan, Vancouver hosts the annual Vancouver Jazz Festival in June, Folk Festival in July, and the Burnaby Blues Festival in August. Add to that numerous arts and music festival throughout the lower mainland. If you love to eat, Vancouver is a food-lovers paradise, offering a wide variety of tastes from around the world. If you are into partying, we have a night club district with a concentration of venues (pubs, clubs and eateries). If you are a nature lover, Vancouver is the BEST! Three major ski mountains only minutes away from the city: Mount Seymour, Cypress, Grouse Mountain, and a bit further away is Whistler, voted number one ski resort in North America many years in a row; two world famous suspension bridges in our North Vancouver rainforests: Capilano and Lynn Valley; and countless beaches, rivers and lakes.

Our house is located on the Vancouver-Burnaby border, just west of the Metropolis at Metrotown shopping mall. If you love shopping, this is the perfect location for you to stay! It will take you about 20 minutes to walk or 5 minutes to drive to the mall. Metropolis at Metrotown is the largest shopping complex in the entire Greater Vancouver area. It facilitates around 470 shops, a large food court and the Cineplex movie theater. Shop till you drop!

Take a short walk to the beautiful Central Park. Central Park's primary attraction is the large proportion of its land reserved as a well-preserved temperate rainforest ecosystem, with numerous walking trails. Among its other attractions are the award-winning children's playground, pitch and putt golf, an outdoor swimming facility, a lawn bowling facility, several picnic areas, tennis courts, and a couple of small duck ponds. Wildlife in the park includes grey squirrels and coyotes. Korean War Memorial is located in the west side of the park, close to Boundary road. Swangard Stadium, another Burnaby landmark and a former home for the Vancouver Whitecaps soccer team, is located at the northwest corner of Central Park.

To get to Downtown Vancouver and Stanley Park, you just simply hop on the bus outside the house; it takes about 3 minutes bus ride to Joyce Skytrain Station and further 15 minutes on the train to Downtown.

Features of the suite itself include: a fully-equipped kitchen comes complete with everything you could want to make your stay comfortable and easy. The larger bedroom contains a king size bed and the smaller bedroom has a double bed, all linens and beddings are provided. Cable TV and fast speed WIFI internet are included. Shared laundry access upon request. There is plenty of free street parking beside the house if you decide to rent a vehicle during your stay.

I will do my very best to ensure that you and your traveling companions have a pleasant stay in Vancouver, I am a sports/music/food/party lover myself, so I’m sure that I can help to point you in the right direction on whatever that you are interested to know about Vancouver!

Great stay, clean, comfy and easy walk to the skytrain. What more could you ask? Nothing really. Tanya was kind enough to look after our things as we had flights leaving quite late which was an added bonus. We loved having a kitchen as well.

Didn't have a chance to meet Tanya, but she was in contact with me throughout my stay and a lovely host! The check-in and out process was seamless and Tanya provided me with detailed instructions. The neighborhood was quiet, and had easy street parking for our rental car. Also only about a 15 minute walk to the Skytrain, which takes you straight into downtown Vancouver! Would definitely stay here again next time I am in town.

Suite with 2 bedrooms very comfortable, very clean and large enough for 4 or 5 people. Very close to a bus stop and 15mn walking from the skyline. Downtown is at less than 40 mn. A very good choice to discover Vancouver! And Tanya is a very good person.

Hi, this is Tanya :)

If you happen to see this message, I am certain that we have at least one thing in common: we are both happy travelers! I was born in China, went to Australia for university, lived in Australia for 6 years and moved from Queensland to NSW then down to ACT. In year 2004, I made my decision to move to Vancouver Canada for work, I have immediately fallen in love with this beautiful city and decided to live here for the rest of my life. During the past decade, I have travelled to most major cities in North America, Europe and Asia, and have made many many friends along the way. Seeing the whole world, experiencing various culture, tasting exotic food from different places, meeting new people and becoming their new friend have always been a passion of mine ever since I was young. With two small children in my life, I have adjusted myself to a new lifestyle to suit the needs of my family, so I won't be able to travel as much for awhile. However, I would love to welcome you to my beautiful city from wherever you are from! I am a very happy, energetic, and friendly people/nature/travel/sports/music/food lover who's waiting to meet you all and become not just your host but also your new friend. I would love to share all my knowledge about Vancouver with you and try my very best to ensure that you and your family/friends will have a pleasant time during your stay in Vancouver!

Have a safe trip and see you in town :)
