About this listing
Tasting and feasting in the gorgeous Willamette wine country? Why not stay over? This tranquil, picturesque mid-century home offers travelers a comfortable retreat, complete with croquet lawn, mini forest, and swimming pool! Relax on the patio or take a dip in the pool after touring the countryside. Private parking and not far from downtown
This is a large, comfortable bedroom with one with a queen bed. The shared bathroom is comfortably large, with two sinks and a shower. These rooms are at the end of a hallway, quite private and tranquil. Although there are pets in the house, they are never allowed in these rooms.
Guests are welcome to enjoy the house. The "summer room" is a sunken living room (2 steps down) that looks out on the mini forest, great for reading. There's a family room, too; we call it the "winter room" because it's cozy, on the dark side, and has a fireplace. If you'd like to use the dining room (other than at breakfast) - and if you need to use the kitchen or washer & dryer - please let us know. Please enjoy the outdoor delights this house offers: the patio and the croquet/badminton lawn and equipment, and the swimming pool. Our neighbors are wonderful people, and we ask our guests to join us in making every effort to be respectful of the peace and quiet we all enjoy so much.

We are Harry and Kate Fuller, a retired couple who love birds, books, beauty, music, movies, dogs, and-after a great deal of travel- the comfort of a peaceful home. We garden, we both write, Harry is a phenomenal birder and author of birding books - and we enjoy a lively evening with friends by the pool or around the dining room table. We enjoy croquet and badminton, and we love our dogs (2) and our independent but charming cat, Lorenzo. We're pretty good cooks and are in love with the Willamette Valley and its fabulous farms and wineries. It reminds us of the South of France! By the way, we speak a little French, a little Spanish, and a little German. We are easy-going and friendly folks, and we try to help guests take their ease and unwind in an atmosphere of kindness and contentment - which is what we hope for when we travel ourselves!
