My apartment is in the historic BedStuy's Stuyveysant Heights neighborhood at the Top Floor of a brownstone just 10 minutes from A/C express line to Lower Manhattan. Nearby is a local public library, several bars from walking distance and two well-rated restaurants ( Saraghina and Peaches) and coffee shops. In addition to the room, there's a half-bedroom to use as a study. Lots of sunlight (six windows and two sun roofs) and tree lined residential streets with a green backyard.
You are welcome to use all utensils in the apartment. My number one rule is to clean after yourself. I value a very clean apartment.
You are also free to use my bicycle for a stroll around the neighborhood. Take care to not deflate my tires.
Interaction with guests
Please feel free to email, call and reach out whenever. If I am available, I will respond immediately. In my absence, please call Jane (she’s a close neighborhood friend). She cares for my pet rabbit, BB King and will check in on him once a day. Jane has my spare keys in case you’re ever locked out. You can also hire her to do laundry if needed.

Other things to note
Please take care to keep noises at low decibels when entering the building. My neighbor on the first floor has a baby. Ours is a small intimate building. Neighbors will naturally want to know who you are. If asked by neighbors, inform them that you are my personal guests while visiting New York.
- Always lock the front door of the apartment building.
I am a midwest transplant from Minneapolis, MN. I have lived in New York for the past 7 years, with 5 of them in BedStuy. I've adopted this neighborhood as my home and absolutely love it. My day job is as an assistant professor of history at Fordham University. In spite of my profession, I am not a Brooklyn history connoisseur.
