In our EastVan oasis, there is free street parking available, one block away from major bus routes, close to banks, grocery stores, restaurants, and thrift store. We are located at the crossroads of Hastings-Sunrise, and Commercial Drive neighbourhoods. We have a wonderful mountainview from our balcony.
The space faces the northern mountain ranges, so the view is beautiful on a clear day. The place is light and airy. I hope your stay is very comfortable :)
We are located near enough to the downtown/East Van corridor, so you may not be used to the sounds of the city. If you are a light sleeper, you may want to bring earplugs with you.
Guests have access to a shared laundromat facility in the basement of the building, if needed. Cost for wash or dry per load is $1.50.
Interaction with guests
Guests can contact us through the chat feature before they arrive and/or by text throughout the duration of their stay.
We don't mind a chat and would be happy to answer any questions. We also respect privacy and quiet time. We're pretty easy going :)
Other things to note
We are suggesting a key deposit ($60 cash). The money will be returned to you (full amount) at the end of your stay.
This is to ensure YOU have uninterrupted access to the place. Also to assure that if keys go missing or get lost, that WE are able to absorb the cost of replacing the locks.
*If a guest chooses not to have a set of keys, then deposit is not required*
Hope that sounds fair :)
No late entry
No shoes inside the apartment- please remove at the front door.
Clean up after yourself!
Lisa enjoys meeting people, she will definitely make them feel at home in our space. She also loves board games. Laura enjoys teaching and eating Lisa's delicious meals! She's more social of the two.
We are both well (enough) traveled but still have quite a big bucket list to tackle =)
The places we've enjoyed the most are those that take us out of our comfort level. Traveling is such a privilege and experiencing cultures that makes us appreciate the people with whom we share this diverse and multicultural country, is such a blessing. We have met kind, caring and generous people in the least expected places.
