The hut is situated midway between Wadhurst and Ticehurst and is a converted 1950s Nissen hut originally used for pigs and sheep. Constructed almost entirely from recycled materials it offers a quirky secluded space with lovely light, all mod cons and close to a huge selection of local attraction: Batemans, former home of Rudyard Kipling, Bewl Reservoir for picturesque waterside walks, Bedgebury Forest for biking and Go Ape and wedding venue The Bell all within a ten minute drive.

Loved staying here, the fact it was half way through the heat wave, Maria was quick to supply us with a fan. Great space and perfect for what we needed it for! Very comfy bed, sofa and good amenities.

The hut is a really great little place, really quirky and so different from anywhere else we’ve stayed. The surroundings were so quiet and our neighbors were two sheep! Exactly how we wanted it to be and the perfect place to spend and celebrate our 6th wedding anniversary weekend…

This is a really lovely space. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The countryside is lovely and the hut is really nice! It's definitely a unique experience. It got pretty cold in the hut but luckily there is a really nice fire that heats it up quickly. I would recommend a stay …

Arrived on time. Maria seemed suprised we brought our dog even though it was stated in the email. Communication with Maria was ok. Good stay apart from no hot water for 2 days. Felt abit of a burden as had to get a plumber out as it was cold.! My partner was left to deal with t…

Response from Maria:
It was unfortunate that there was a problem with the hot water during Sarah's stay/ I called out an emergency plumber and the situation was resolved. I had noticed the hot water was intermittent and had apologised on their arrival. Sarah's dog unfortunately was seen chasing one of my chickens which sadly later was found dead. I was on hand to discuss the plumbing issue throughout the visit. By way of compensation I declined to take the £20 fee for the dog or the charge for extra logs. I purchased a food parcel as requested and the bill of £25 which I left on the worktop was unpaid. Despite a no smoking policy I saw the guests smoking at regular intervals.
