Our rustic exterior low country home is the perfect getaway. It is secluded, peaceful and quiet with views of the sound and marsh from the home. This area is full of wildlife. We regularly see Bald Eagles, Osprey, Falcons, and Great Blue Herons to name a few. Deer and Wild Turkey inhabit the fields and woods. Our family raised ducks also live on the property. Melson Creek borders the property to the north. The creek and the surrounding area is a kayaker's paradise. You can use ours or bring your own. Take a walk on our private trails and you will be drawn back to the natural beauty of the area.
The backyard has a pond, a hot tub and a fire pit. You can fish in the pond, layout on the patio, play sports in the side yard and relax by the fire pit at night. Enjoy the use of our herb garden or pick your own fresh blueberries for breakfast from our gardens in season.
You will enjoy privacy, peace and quiet, while also being close to the beachside activities.
The property is across the 3 mile wide Currituck Sound from the beautiful Outer Banks and is just a short drive to the oceanfront. Kitty Hawk, the closest town on the Outer Banks is centrally located, allowing for easy access to the northern and southern tips of the OBX.
To the north is Duck, Corolla, and Carova. To the south you will pass through Kill Devil Hills and Nags Head to reach Rodanthe, Avon, and Cape Hatteras.
Our beautiful home has three bedrooms and three bathrooms which includes a large master suite. The living room, dining room, and gourmet kitchen are all very spacious, with hardwood floors. There is a screened-in porch area for eating with a view of the pond and access to the patio and hot tub area.

Hi, I'm Eddie, I use airbnb to host our Outer Banks home with my wife Sibbie. We have done some traveling and used airbnb a few times, but our daughter Leigh uses airbnb more often in her travels to many different cities and abroad.
I am an Outer Banks local, born here with many generations of my family raised here before me. I am retired and spend most of my time caring for our property, growing our gardens, and doing on-call boat tows.
