The Casa Mandala neighborhood is great. Whether you want an ice cold beer, or to run to the store for some quick snacks, our hip neighborhood has it all. Casa Mandala is right around the corner from Cafe Deluxe, which serves great health-food.

One of the best things about Puerto Escondido is the availability of transportation. Taxis, buses, colectivos (collective vans), and rental car/motorbike services are always around. But being so close to the main strip and popular beaches, your legs can take you wherever you need to go.

Really liked the place. Good beach feel, simple, but has everything you need. People managing the place are helpful and nice. The roof is awesome, with a nice view. Everything is very true about the location. A couple blocks to the beach or main strip of zicatela. 1 block from the main road to pick up a taxi or truck.

Chris and Marine were fantastic. Yoga on the rooftop and a great view! I stayed in one of the smaller apartments for about a week and then moved to a larger one, really good people and a cozy apartment that felt like home. Everything you need! (As for the roosters everyone mentioned you really can't hear them if you get an apartment on the bottom floor so if it bothers you that much stay on the first level.)

Our three-month stay at Casa Mandala was great from every point of view; the appartment is close to the beach and it's very well located to get around the city, our hosts were always very attentive to our needs and helped us with questions we had during our stay, the place is very well maintained and clean, the terasse is absolutely beautiful and the yoga classes excellent. The appartment itself is cozy, with lots of storage room and a nice living room area which we loved, it was like a home away from home. We defintely recommend it to other travelers.

I spent 2 months in Casa Mandala and it was very pleasant. The apartment is large and confortable. It doesn't have a view but going to the roof top takes just one minute and we can embrace the entire bay from there. Very recommandable for any kind of stay.

Nice place with a homey feeling. Comfortable beds. Gorgeous view from the rooftop. The place is well located: it's right in the middle of Zicatela. 5 minutes walk to the beach. There are a lot of restaurants around where you can grab something to eat. If you feel like working out there is a small gym right across the road. I really enjoyed living there and extended my stay for 1 more week.

Response from Chris And Marine:
These were the worst guests ever. Read our other reviews. Most everyone is happy. These are first time airbnb guests and they are very fake people. These guests acted like everything was fine the whole time. You can see our message history that they were always happy and when I asked them if they needed anything they said, "no, everything is perfect". For example, here is one airbnb message they sent me when I asked them how they were doing: "Sorry for the delay I don't speak or read in english so this is why I did not answered you, went to see Jeannine to show her. We are doing well liking Puerto Escondido very much. Our problem was with the ants they were a lot of them in the appartement but we sprayed them out. Beside this all is fine and we will be back next year. We thank you very much for the good time. Have a great day." They said they would be back next year. Yet now they leave a very bad review and bring up tons of things they never mentioned to me while they were here. If they hated the apartment so much why did they stay so many months and not just leave and ask for a refund. Fake people. Bad guests. Do not rent your place to these guests. And if you are reading this review wondering if you should stay in Casa Mandala, read some of the other reviews, besides their friend Janine who was just like them. Happy the whole time but then left a horrible review. Casa Mandala is awesome and you will love it here. Pretty much everyone does. I am still baffled by these people. hahaha, sorry for the rant, but they are totally lame.
