Completely refurnished in June 2017 and stylishly appointed throughout, this 2 bedroom 2 bathroom air conditioned penthouse apartment offers breathtaking water views over Shoal Bay Harbour and Headlands.

The space

The north east position on the eighth floor provides panoramic views over the whole of Shoal Bay from Tomaree Headland in the east to Nelson Point and the inner lighthouse to the west. Both bedrooms and the open plan living and dining area have uninterrupted views. The wrap around balcony has sliding door access from the combined living dining area and second bedroom. The master bedroom with king sized bed and ensuite is north facing to capture the bay and beach views.
There is a main bathroom and ensuite, and modern kitchen which provides guests with the option to prepare meals from this home away from home or to dine out at the 3 restaurants or enjoy a cold ale at the hotel located within the complex.

Other features include balcony furnishing, direct lift access to your apartment from the secure car space in the garage within the building, and free Wi-Fi for guests.

Complex facilities include 3 restaurants, bars and the famous Country Club Hotel Pub.

Keys must be collected AFTER 2pm from our managing agent Winning Holidays at 35 Stockton Street, Nelson Bay NSW. Their hours are:
9:00am to 5:00pm Monday - Friday
9:00am - 4:00pm Saturdays
Closed Sundays and Public Holidays
After hours key collection is available from their office ( wherein a mobile no. is displayed on the front door on arrival to call) for an additional cash fee of $20.00.
Agent will require a valid credit card as security before issuing key; A Guest registration form is required to be completed for all bookings. The registration form requests details of your name, address, drivers licence number and valid credit card. A pre-authorisation for the applicable security deposit will be made with the minimum payment generally not less than $200. Your personal details are retained subject to our Privacy Policy. Departure is 10.00am from the property. Keys need to be returned to the office (drop box available).
Linen packs are supplied for king and x 2 single beds (make own beds) includes bath towels for 4. If wanting to bring a 5th person you must bring or hire linen from the Agent. Beach towels not provided.
The property is self-contained, but not serviced; toiletries, condiments & food are not supplied.

Great location, minutes from most conveniences. Apartment itself was not cleaned properly.

We're always a little nervous turning the key on a holiday apartment which we've only seen on-line. Will it match our expectations? Will it be as spacious as it looks in the pictures? Is the view the real one, or a just a local scene? In the case of Blue Horizons, we needn't have worried. What a beautiful apartment! Recently renovated and tastefully decorated - and that view from the wraparound balcony is to die for! The bed was one of the most comfortable we have encountered on our many travels, and made for a restful night's sleep every night, and it was a delight feeding the rainbow lorikeets and blue-faced honey eaters who visited us each morning for breakfast. There are a number of eating establishments within minutes walk of Blue Horizons, and Nelson Bay is only a ten minute drive away for shopping etc. We felt the tariff for accomodation of this standard was very reasonable, and are happy to highly recommend Blue Horizons to all comers.

The location of the place could not be better, walking distance to everything in Shoal Bay right across the road from the beach. View from the apartment was spectacular. We did have an issue with the lift not working for the time we were there which given it's on the 8th floor was a little difficult carrying children and prams up and down. I'm sure though this was just down to bad luck on our part. Apart from that am amazing stay.
