Join us in or lovely home, in the birthplace of Henry IV, on the edge of the Lincolnshire Wolds. The old farmhouse, which we believe dates back to the 17th century, is set back on a very quiet country lane in lawned grounds of around 2 acres.
The bedroom (Humbugs) is on the first floor, facing the garden and provides comfort as well as privacy and peace.
There is also ample parking and somewhere secure and dry to store motorbikes or cycles.

The space

The bedroom is on the first floor, facing the garden and provides comfort as well as privacy and peace. It is directly opposite the (shared) bathroom and has a large and very comfortable king size bed (the bedroom that is - not the bathroom).
The house is only a short walking distance from the center of the village where you will find the ruins of Old Bolingbroke Castle (birthplace of Henry IV) and the local village pub.
It is also only a few miles from the Lincolnshire Aviation Museum (home of the "Just Jane" Lancaster Bomber) at East Kirkby.

Guest access

Guests are welcome to use the cooking facilities in the kitchen and to take meals either in the kitchen itself or in the dining room.
There is a quiet lounge, where you can listen to music/read and a smaller TV room where you can catch up on your favourite box sets or tv programmes.
Please don't go in our other bedrooms or the study.
There is ample space in the garden to find a quiet spot to read, sunbathe, have a bbq and socialise or just enjoy the country air and bird-song.

Interaction with guests

We are generally around to offer advice or help but understand that guests sometimes prefer their own space and privacy and are just as easy keeping to ourselves as we are interacting and sharing a meal or a drink and a chat. Your choice.

Other things to note

We have a lurcher dog (Nutmeg) on the property. She is well behaved and loves to play in the garden with anyone prepared to throw a frisbee or ball for her: indeed she became one of the attractions at our last house where we also ran AirBnB.
We also have a cat (Tilly No-Tail) , who you may see from time to time around the garden and the out-buildings - although she rarely comes in the house.
We also have chickens that spend their time either in the hen-house or in the orchard.

Stayed just the one night with Bruce and Debs. They were wonderful hosts for our brief stay and we were welcomed in like old friends. Would highly recommend to others visiting the area.

I have worked in the IT industry for most of my life. I enjoy walking, cycling and have recently taken to playing the ukulele. My wife and I have travelled extensively, enjoying meeting different people as much as experiencing different cultures, geographies and climates.
