The bedroom is very spacious and has a wardrobe and a double bed with bed linen,
blankets and pillows. The heating is independent from the one in the living room

The living room is very warm and sunny due to the big windows and the high ceilings. As I say before this ceilings are maid of old timber beams and also the columns that you can see at the photographs.

The kitchen has everything you need to cook and clean easily. Pots, pans, cutlery, glasses, ceramic hob, fridge, freezer, microwave, dishwasher, ketel, etc.

Also you'll find some basic products as coffee, tee, sugar, honey, salt, oil, soy sauce, pasta, rice, seasonal fruit, etc.

The bathroom has a very big mirror and a shower big enough to fit two, clean towels, hair dryer, hand soap, shower gel, among others.

Interaction with guests

I usually meet the guests at the apartment on the arrival day to give them the keys and show them a few things, like how to use the dishwasher and other stuff. What a wonderful place to stay - everything was better than excepted. My mom who is 80 had no problems climbing the stairs each day to get to the apartment after walking all over the city each day. Gaston as I'm sure you have read is a very attentive host. His place is clean and in a great location. Both beds were very comfortable. He is there for whatever you need prior to your trip answering questions in detail and during your stay he is averrable if needed. Thanks for everything Gaston!!

Couldn't have asked for a bette replace to stay at! Gastón's apartment is in a great neighborhood with tons of taperias and restaurants near by! You can walk to anywhere in the city and the metro is close by too if you don't feel like walking :) the apartment itself is super nice and clean, and Gastón dedicated a lot of time sharing his knowledge of Madrid with us to make sure we know our way around and was super responsive throughout the week. All around a great experience!

The flat is well situated in Malasana neighbourhood which is very close to restaurants, cafes and about 10 minutes walk to the shopping district and about 15 minutes or so to the centre of the town. Gaston welcomed us during check in and was very thorough, informative and helpful. He also gave us fruit and vegetable basket to have during our stay. The apartment was well equipped with stuff you need during the stay. The neighbourhood is very hip and offers plethora of nice cafes, restaurants and bars but the flat is situated in a quiet street so noise wasn't an issue. I would highly recommend this place. Thanks Gaston for a lovely stay.

Lovely flat ! Very well located and silent at night. Gaston was very kind to welcome us in person and explained us everything that we should know about madrid and the neighborhood! We had a fruit bag as a welcome gift so we were very happy! Thank you Gaston!

Gaston was a nice host and had someone meet us at the apartment. While the wifi wasn't working he offered to pay for our sim card which was very easy to get. The pictures are not very representative of the apartment. There are lots of wires hanging from the ceiling, the furnishing is very old, and the place looks a bit like a work in progress. It is a good place for some young travelers looking to save some money. However, if you are looking for a nice vacation home, I would look elsewhere.

Response from Gastón:
Absolutely, Router is fix. In fact the apartment has a new internet connection (higher speed), you get the apartment in the same days the company made the changes. I'm sorry about that. About the "lots" of wires, well there is two and they can be seen in the photos. They are high up in the ceiling and they have no connection any way. The furniture is 2 and a half years old. I had have 169 guests, all ages, from 18 to 65, and non of them have complained about furniture. I know not having internet connection was a bit of a trouble, that's why I offered to buy a sim card with enough data but you didn't want it, so I don't see the necessity to make bad remarks about things that were fine in the first place and thing you can see in the photos and in the listing description anyway. I'm always willing to offer the best accommodation possible to my guest and to make their experience as good as I can but it's very hard when they don't want me to. I always make a detailed introduction about the city and the apartment and answer all the questions. You only have to read the other 168 reviews. I know the price of the night in my apartment is not as high as others in the same neighbourhood, that's because I don't think rising prices is the best strategy. We need to keep our city affordable for everyone. The city and culture needs variety and mix of different people. If we all keep rising prices our city will be only affordable to the richest people and that is not the best scenario. Of course my apartment is affordable for students, that's my intention. You can always spend your extra money in the city, but not only shopping, there are theaters, book shops, record stores, culture in general, small art galleries, big museums. Any way, this is getting to long. Sorry for the trouble. Thanks for you suggestion! Cheers!

Gastón was a great host, was there to welcome us to the apartment when we arrived and give us useful information and tips about the area, and even had fresh fruit and veg for us. The apartment was really clean and well equipped. Being on the fourth floor was a little tiring, but worth it for the super central location, with lots to do in malasaña, and a short walk/metro ride to other areas, and was still very quiet. Would definitely come again
