This charming cottage is in a sequestered back yard. Aiken is an historic town that was the winter destination for wealthy northerners who built homes here, brought their horses for polo and thoroughbred racing...a tradition that is carried on today. There are theaters, golf courses, and a branch of the University a mile away. Aiken is located outside of Augusta, Ga. The cottage is casual, comfortable, and offers peace and quiet in a safe area. Private driveway, parking, and entrance.

My wife and have stayed at several AirbnbS. Every time there is a little let down because of the hype and/or the pictures. But this cottage was much better than expected. It was very bright, clean and roomy. The beds were extra comfortable. Gretchen and her husband went over and above what we expected. When she heard we were coming to Aiken to attend a church dedication with my wife's parents and to visit the old church where her Dad and Mom began their ministry 30 years ago. Gretchen obtained the addresses! Wow! That was great! Turns out we were 1 1/2 blocks from Dad's old church! A most memorable experience made more memorable by our stay at this beautiful cottage!
