The room looks onto a garden. As the house is set back from the street, it's quiet despite the central location. The tram stops 250 meters away and goes directly to the main train station via the city center (about 10 minutes' walk). A well-known search engine says TU Darmstadt is 1.3 km from here, so an easy tram ride or 15 minutes' walk. A pizzeria and two grocery stores are within 300 meters. The apartment is occupied by one female student, one female professional and me, your host.

The space
The unique thing about it would be that it's central and yet removed because it's not directly on the street. The garden provides for a lot of green.

Guest access
Besides your area, you can use the living/dining area, the kitchen and the bathroom. Use of the kitchen means the oven to heat things and the stove top to boil water; real cooking is only allowed for stays of three nights or more. The washing machine is available for three euros per load.
Access to the apartment involves transiting someone else's property. For this reason, I try to be extremely discreet. This is why we absolutely under no circumstances want anyone not covered by the booking coming to the apartment. But it also means that any guest who intends to do a lot of coming and going (e.g. the smoker who spends a sustained period of time in the apartment but needs to go out to smoke periodically) might be better off making another selection. The less coming and going, the better.

Other things to note
1) There is a washing machine. If you really must wash, then one cycle costs 3 euros. I'll provide detergent if I happen to have it. There is no dryer, so if you want to wash anything, you should be staying at least another night to give your washed items time to dry.
2) Besides me, there are two people living in this apartment, one from Italy and one from Uruguay, both female.
4) As noted above, there is a kitchen and guests have access to it, except that use of the stove and oven, unless for boiling water, is not included unless a guest is staying three or more nights.

6) Checkout is at noon, but please note that I may need to collect bedsheets at 10:30 so that they are clean and dry for the next guest.

Location

Darmstadt, Hessen, Germany

The neighborhood is residential, but commercial establishments are within 250 meters, so it is very convenient. And the center of the city is very close, i.e. 10 minutes or so on foot or 5 minutes by tram.
