This lovely one bedroom apartment is an addition to a 1920s landmarked Art Nouveau mansion. It's on the border of the fashionable Condesa and Roma sections of Mexico city. Safe, lovely neighborhoods, with tree lined streets, fountains and many store and restaurant options.

The space

The mansion is a pleasant 15 minute walk from the museums in the Bosque de Chapultepec (Museo de Arte Moderno, Museo Tamayo, Castillo de Chapultepec, the world famous Museo de Antropologia e Historia, etc.) A pleseant 3 minute walk from Parque Mexico and Parque Espana. 2 blocks from Palacio de Hierro department store. Well connected to subway and metrobus lines. There's a large supermarket 2 blocks away as well. Everything you'll need from shopping to dinning or entertainment, is conveniently near as well as upscale gyms and yoga schools. The house is an oasis of tranquility in the middle of a bustling, exciting city. A perfect place to rest and recharge your batteries after work or sightseeing.

The apartment is brand new and completely independent. It's equipped to enjoy breakfast or other meals. The house also has shared open spaces to enjoy Mexico's mild climate. You'll find a full sized bed as well as a sofa bed with 500 count cotton sheets. A fully equipped granite kitchen with stove, microwave, small fridge and necessary plates and utencels. A Carrara marble bathroom. Sunny with lots of ventilation

Had a wonderful stay & the place was so lovely just like how it was described. Tom is very helpful host, took us through the map of different things to do and see, also went above and beyond to investigate travel SIM card. The neighbourhood Roma Norte is wonderful — very safe, with tree lined avenues, hipster cafes and boutiques. As vegetarians we found 3 awesome vegan / organic cafes & taco still all within walking distances, the food was fantastic. We will be back in a heart beat. Thanks Tom

Great place located within walking distance of restaurants and bars in Roma Norte. Thomas was a great host and helped me to get settled in straight away, looking forward to getting back soon.

Thomas and Juan are great hosts. Checkin was easy. My accommodation on the upper floor was large and comfortable. High ceilings and large windows. The bed was comfortable. Water pressure was weak, but adequate. Apartment was very clean. You must climb several flights of stairs but I loved being on the upper floor. Calle Yucatán can be a bit busy. It was generally quiet, except when garbage trucks made their pick-up in the wee hours on Friday night...very noisy...closing window helps a bit. Other nights were quieter. Terrace has great views. Wifi was fast and reliable. Many buildings in surrounding area were impacted by the September 2017 earthquake, but this apartment appears to be sound. I was pleased to see lots of steel beams in the apartment. This location is convenient. There is a bus stop on Insurgentes Sur one street over. It's a 15 minute walk to the closest metro station, Insurgentes (zona Rosa). If you walk south on Insurgentes it's about 15 minutes to the Chilpancingo station (brown line). There are many good restaurants in the area, near Parque Mexico or on Alvaro Obregón and adjacent streets mostly on the east side of Insurgentes Sur. I always felt safe walking these areas, day and night. A few personal restaurant recommendations in the vicinity: Café Bizarro just downstairs on corner Lalo - Zacatecas Huset - Colima Yuban - Colima Hispala - Durango Macelleria - Orizaba Pozoleria Tixtla - Zacatecas Fonda Fina - Medellín There's a nice gym, Sport World, on Sonora near Parque Mexico that sells day passes. They seem to be a bit inconsistent in the pass cost (150-300 pesos) but the facilities are nice.. lots of machines, free weights and wet or dry sauna.

Thomas was a wonderful host. The apartment was beautiful, spotless and in one of the most happening neighbourhoods in Mexico City. Our only regret was that we couldn't stay longer.

Thomas was very accommodating to our travel schedule and was very helpful with our early check-in. My Wife and I had a great time exploring Thomas' recommendations of the neighborhood, and absolutely loved the roof top deck and all the plants. :)

When I arrived in Mexico City, I checked in with Thomas at a rather late hour. He was very friendly and helpful. I feel that the pictures accurately show the place. It is at the top of three steep flights of stairs. I especially enjoyed the shared terrace. I found the bed to be quite hard, but I know that is a matter of preference.

HI! I'm from New York. Came to Mexico 20 years ago to play French Horn in the orchestra here. Loved the country (still do), hated the orchestras. I've been giving voice lessons for about the last 15 years. Mostly musical comedy. I'm home oriented, love to cook. Do lots of yoga. Love to be a tour guide to help people explore this amazing city.
