Built in 1911, this Bungalow-style house is a great place to hang your hat while in Denver for work or adventure. This two bdrm, single-family home features hardwood floors, a loft-style theater room, covered front porch w/ table & chairs, king bed, natural light, hot tub, and a vibrant, hip neighborhood! While within walking distance to bars, restaurants & live music venues, this is a quiet block. City Park, home to Denver Zoo & Nature Science Museum, is one block away. Downtown is 5 mins away!

The space

This 2,000 square foot single family home is one of Denver's unique "Bungalow" style residences in the coveted South City Park / Congress Park neighborhood. The space includes an updated kitchen & bathroom with stainless steel appliances and granite countertops. Beautiful hardwood floors and rustic exposed brick dominate the decor. A unique spiral staircase leads to a bright and airy loft, where a 100 inch projection theater combines with sleeping arrangements for additional guests. The house comes with an office including a desk, office chair, high speed WIFI, and a printer with USB cable for hooking up to your laptop. Additionally, bottled water, organic coffee and organic creamer are provided. Each booking also comes with new travel-sized, spa quality shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion and an individually wrapped bar of soap that are yours to keep after your stay! Sleeping arrangements are perfect for one, two or three people or one, two or three couples. The beds include one king bed in the main floor master bedroom, and one queen bed in the basement master bedroom. The loft includes a double bed for two and
a futon couch that unfolds into a bed for one. An air mattress can be provided if requested. We will accommodate up to eight guests in the space if your group doesn't mind these sleeping arrangements. The basement bathroom is in an unfinished part of the basement but is fully functional with shower. The space also includes a covered front porch, a sunny back porch, and an outdoor hot tub! Soak your stress away under the Colorado sky!

Guest access

Access to this home is through the front door facing Harrison Street. Your space will be the entire home. There is a front porch with table and chairs available for your private use. You would have access to the private back yard and hot tub with condition that all rules be observed. The home has on-site washer and dryer available for guest use. Access to the laundry room and downstairs bathroom does go through the "Utility" room.

Other things to note

Lots of great Denver restaurants and watering holes are within walking distance. We are located in the Bluebird Theater District which is home to a vibrant local and big ticket live music scene with live bands playing at Lost Lake, Goosetown Tavern, Mezcal and the Bluebird Theater.

"The bottled water in the fridge was a really generous thought. The place was well kept and felt particularly cozy. One Request: provide a little clarification on working the Surround Sound upstairs :)" "Appreciated the cozy home and thoughtfulness! There were slippers for us to wear, coffee for us to make, and every charger we needed. Neighborhood and location were great. Property manager, Jesse, responded promptly to needs. With a little TLC and attention to details (have carpets/house professionally cleaned and make sure lights all work, add more towels/linens), this could be a cozy home for traveling families.

Hello Anita and thanks again for staying with us. I apologize the home did not meet your standards. We take great pride in the home and we strive to provide a unique and positive experience for all our guests. As proof of this we even had new blinds installed over the basement window upon your request. All the carpets were professionally steam cleaned prior to the first booking. The place was also deep cleaned prior to the first booking and cleaned again several times prior to your arrival. The hotel behind the home is closed and is not occupied with any tenants and is for sale or redevelopment. I apologize this was a perceived privacy issue for you as stated in your private feedback. There is a six foot privacy fence behind the home. Each guest for each booking is provided with one large towel, one face towel and one wash cloth for the duration of their stay. We are more than happy to provide additional towels upon request. Unfortunately you did not make the request for additional towels during your stay but only brought it up in your private feedback and I apologize but I'm unable to solve that problem after a guest has already checked out. I apologize that you felt that you were not provided enough towels as stated in your private feedback. I personally cleaned the bathrooms so I know they were very clean prior to your arrival, however, as stated in the unit profile, the basement bathroom is accessed through an unfinished part of the home (the utility room). Thank you for your private feedback in regards to the overhead lights being out in the bathrooms. I will check those bulbs but I do know the other lights in the bathrooms worked and provided adequate illumination for the bathrooms. Thank you for bringing to my attention that there are no trash bins in the bathrooms. I will fix this immediately. We appreciate all guest feedback including feedback that may not be positive and we hope that your next Airbnb experience is a more positive one. Thank you. Jesse.
