Response from Cheryl:
Hi, Sharon, I don't know much about the house, but I suspect it was built in the first half of the 19th century after Gov Bent was scalped and killed on Bent Street during an insurrection. I have heard that it was constructed on the site of a Kiva and that the Spirit of the Buffalo Field still visits. I can not attest to that, however. Thanks for asking!
