Please feel free to enjoy books while visiting, but don’t take from the premises.*Linen service is set for up to four.* Tea, coffee and hot chocolate are there for your enjoyment.*The bed is king sized, and there is also a sofa bed. You'll find a small armoire in the closet area, and a suitcase stand in the room.*Bicycles, skis and other gear can be stowed on the large, Private patio, and there is a ski rack.*The Trout Creek Trail is a scenic paved walkway/bike trail that leads to downtown Truckee. The trailhead is short drive down Northwoods Blvd.*Enjoy all of the wonderful activities in the beautiful Sierra year-round just outside the door!!
Guests will be provided with their access code to the room. The stairs to the room are on the right on the porch, and down the staircase to the private patio and entrance to the room.*
There is a motion activated light on the driveway. The light switches for the porch and stairs are on the wall to the left as you step onto the porch. Controls for these same lights are also at the bottom of the staircase to the left as you reach the landing. The switch to control the patio light is next to the glass door. We recommend carrying a flashlight at night, and keeping a couple on-hand in the room in the event of a power outage.
Interaction with guests
We've tried our best to see that you have what you need, but we'll be available by text, phone or email as quickly as practical should something arise.
Other things to note
On-street parking is prohibited by the Town of Truckee during the snow season from November 1 through April 30th and doing so may subject your vehicle to citation or towing by the City of Truckee. During snow season, guests will be allowed one vehicle parking only and asked to park their vehicle as far to the left of the driveway as practical while leaving some room to access the brown metal bear-proof trash box. There is no other vehicle access or parking available on the property. Because of the elevation there may be snow and/or ice on the street, driveway and walkways even when it’s clear nearby. We’d recommend to always be prepared for driving and walking on some snow and ice at the property during the extended winter season. Please use extra caution while walking where snow or ice may be present and and make sure your car is properly equipped for winter driving. Highway conditions and chain/4wd and other general information can be found on the Cal Trans website. Local road information is available on the Town of Truckee website. There are bears and other animals throughout the populated areas throughout the Tahoe/Truckee region. Seeing them is pretty rare, but to discourage interaction between people and wildlife, it's recommended to not store food in the car or outside even in a container, and please do not leave the front door to your room open while you’re away. There is no smoking permitted on the property, no candles or other open flame, nor heated cooking devices or anything else that can cause fire.
- Please respect the neighbors and keep noise to a minimum, and turn the exterior lights off before 10 PM. Thank you!
- PLEASE USE CAUTION WITH THE THERMOSTAT CONTROLLED GAS STOVE. IT IS HOT WHEN IN USE AND CAN CAUSE INJURY. SUPERVISE CHILDREN CAREFULLY. Access is controlled by an electronic keypad. There are motion activated lights in front and on the porch. Light switches are located on both levels of the porch.
- There are smoke alarms, carbon monoxide alarms, and explosive gas alarms in the room. There is a bureau behind the door left of the microwave, and suitcase stands.
