We have furnished and decorated our home to provide a cozy and relaxing space to enjoy the Hudson Valley and all its attractions. The farmhouse was built in 1873, and recently renovated. You have full access to the deck, BBQ station, and private backyard.
This listing is for the entire 3200 sq. ft. first floor, with a separate listing for the former Orchard Keeper’s Apartment on the second floor.
*Note that we are pet friendly for dogs, but due to allergy concerns cats are not permitted.

The space
The house is filled with light and very open, with high ceilings and a 1000sq. ft. kitchen/great room with floor to ceiling windows. The original 1873 Farmhouse is connected to the great room via a wood-paneled design room. The main downstairs living area has three bedrooms which are all on the same floor and sleeps 8 in beds. The front bedroom has two queens along with an en suite, the middle bedroom has a queen and the third bedroom has a king sleigh bed. The design room can be transformed into another sleeping quarter with an air mattress and the reading room has a twin pull out couch. We have extra bedding for those who'd like to crash on the couches. You are more than welcome to bring the whole family and set up camp as you see fit. The base nightly rate includes two guests, each additional guest is $25/person/night. We chose this pricing structure to accommodate parties of all sizes.

Guest access
Guests have access to entire main level of the home including a design room/study and a reading room. Laundry room is available upon request. The basement is currently undergoing a transformation and will soon be a game room, until then there is no access to the basement. We will be turning the old pool house into an outdoor kitchen and barbecue area this coming summer, but for now we ask that our guests do not enter the pool house due to ongoing construction.

Other things to note
The house backs up to over 200 acres of marshland, abandoned orchards, and wildlife. At night, there is almost no light pollution, and the stars in the sky overhead are stunning...
You will hear: frogs in the pond, roosters from the farms down the road, coyotes up on the mountainside, owls in the grove of birch trees, tractors driving past, the orchard horn at noon, Canadian Geese flying overhead... and at night: silence (punctuated softly once in a while by the train whistle from across the river.)

We fell in love with the Hudson River Valley and everything it has to offer including the abundance of wineries, farms, orchards, hiking trails and museums. We love the artistic community in this area and often frequent Dia Beacon, Storm King Art Center, and local galleries and festivals. We have lived across the United States from California, Chicago, Florida, North Carolina, New York City and have now decided to make the Hudson Valley our home. This area provides a coziness and certain slowness that we indulge in as city transplants.
