Stay in our quirky, 1960's house bus, self contained, with fully equipped kitchen, with BBQ (no oven). Newly fitted shower and toilet in a cabin joined on to the bus through a doorway! Very comfortable bed, in a very peaceful private location, amongst the trees on a small family lifestyle farm. You have your own fire pit, bbq, hammock and bar leaner in a perfect spot for sunset drinks. Feed the ducks & chickens, check for fresh eggs in the morning, pop down to the river for a dip!

The space
You will have peace and privacy in your spot, occasionally a campervan may park up for the night close by, they will have access to the fire pit area. There are 2 steps up into the bus but with a hand rail. We have most appliances for you to use but no oven - however if we're home I am happy to let you use our oven. You have use of a gas or coal BBQ. Please be sensible with your water usage - we are not on the mains system and collect water from our roof - it is beautiful clear drinking water! We have a 2nd bed that doubles up as a bench seat it is narrow and only suitable for children under the age of 14 to sleep on. The river is relatively close by and great for a dip though! The chickens and ducks hang around for a free feed and may even give you some farm fresh eggs (if you can find them!).

Guest access
You are welcome to walk around the farm and down to the river - just aware of electric fences and please close any gates behind you - all the stock are harmless! Our dog may even come with you if you want! The river is perfect to swim in - but not to drink..

Other things to note
Anika has worked in the Tourism industry in the Bay of Islands for many years, her knowledge of unique spots to visit is great - pick her brains if she's around!
We have 2 electric bikes and a bike rack (fits onto a tow bar) you can organise to hire these to ride on the Pou Herenga Tai Twin Coast Cycle Trail which is relatively close.
