Black painted room, North orientation. Double bed and sofa. Private bath room with tub, toilet, sink. People usually sleep for more hours than they are used to. Priest house, built in 1750.
In an old house with thick walls, a big cellar and rooftop you will find colourful rooms and some religious accessoires. The bedroom is painted black (of course with a window to the woods!) - come to the garden and the rest of the house if you want to see colours. As a responsible architect, I do not believe in overreacting to old buildings. Be aware that you come to an old house with its imperfections in a area of Switzerland where it is still possible to buy a house at a normal price (However, everything works ,-). Consider my other listings if you travel in a group (up to 8 people is no problem in this house).
Come to our garden, we are proud of it! If you are lucky, you can watch the cows grazing next to you while you sunbathe ,-)
Interaction with guests
I like to have a chat with my guests. Feel free to interrupt or leave - you are the guest!
Other things to note
Gänsbrunnen is the entrance to the Naturpark Thal (one of the recognized areas of nature protection by the Swiss government). It's a splendid spot for hiking. On every hill next to our house you find a simple farm providing you with food and drinks. Here you can breathe the pure air of Switzerland, without any inhibitions.
I consider myself lucky to live in a house from 1750. I am happy to adapt to the constraints that go with it. Moreover, I am happy to organize my professional life which starts normally at 6am and ends at 8pm around the night spent in that special building. I need my quiet as much as you might and I appreciate your booking in full awareness of my needs and the houses outdatedness.
