We had a group of 7 family members staying at Chippewa, so we rented a 3 bedroom cabin with kitchen and a small cabin for 2. The cabins are quite rustic, so if you're OK with that, you'll be OK. The grounds are beautify and the location on the 7 mile strip is great for access to the beach, food and shopping. Definitely a budget place to stay with not many amenities but was clean and essentially bug free. John was on site and very helpful and always available. If you enjoy lots of amenities at the location you stay, this is not for you. But if you're OK with "making do" and saving money, this is the place for you!

Very chill vibe in super rustic accommodations. For the price, you are getting what you pay for as some features are in disrepair. The apartment was clean however and the housekeeper made our beds and even did our dishes one day when we rushed out after breakfast. Wifi is a little iffy in the apartment but there is a table and chairs at the front to relax and check emails etc. No AC needed. It cools down to a comfortable temperature at night and the blankets supplied were the perfect amount for those temps. Proximity to the beach and restaurants is excellent. We rented a car to explore more attractions not in walking and biking distance but they were all easy to find from the village with the right attitude and little fear. We felt safe during our stay. Architecture is really quite beautiful and unique. Would definitely return.

Great stay at Chipewa Village, the house was really nice, clean and quiet, better than in the pictures. The pool was very nice too, with a great view 100% would recommend and would stay again

The 3 bedroom Poolside apartment at Chippewa Village was quirky and cool. It was a nice place to hang out with the friends we rented it with and those we were traveling with. We had read previous reviews regarding the noise level and thin walls, and I will agree with those other reviewers: you could hear everything. We knew going into it - but if you are a light sleeper, this place will not be for you. Everything else worked pretty good. There were little quirks like the bathroom light being a bit fussy and flickered a lot or would shut off. There was also a blue tooth speaker device that worked for a bit then would fuzz out (sorry John, forgot to mention that on the way out). The fridge is old and it could be updated. Other than that, everything was clean and nice. It didn't have air conditioning, but it was really quite comfortable with all of the fans. The beds were super comfy too. For the price, the place was great and John's suggestion of going across the street to the Charela Inn for a day pass beach access was the way to go. AND you are right next to Best in the West - which has such great food!! We went there 3 times. If you are a person that eats in - you will need to buy a lot of basics: paper towels, plastic wrap, salt, pepper, spices, and other condiments. Again, the fridge is an older one, so there is a really small, nearly nonexistent, freezer. Also, check to make sure you have all the utensils you need - the can opener did work and the one knife was very dull. I am also a person that cooks a lot of my meals when I travel, so I'm pretty picky and probably should travel with a knife. :) My last comment - the dog Princess is such a love. I read that the dog was scary and this dog is a sweet pup. I loved her.

Both owners where there to meet us - we arrived on Christmas Day during their dinner! But they were so helpful and swift to check us in. The area was lovely - right in the middle of the Negril action but the apartment was nice and quiet. I loved staying here with my 2 children and will definitely be back

I came to Jamaica in the early 70's and opened Chippewa Village Apartments and Cottages. Kept a feet in my homeland too where I've been working out of Los Angeles USA as a fashion and interior designer. I will be glad to have you here! Expect an informal and tranquil location in the heart of Negril.
