Carl is great host, who met me when I first arrived and made me a wonderful sandwich. The house is clean and easy to find and much closer to town that it looks on the map. There are shops stores close and the bus into Dublin is practically right outside the door, all in all a great experience.

I stayed for around 9 weeks with Carl and my stay totally marvellous - she hosts and treats you like family. It was my first international trip but with her hospitality I must say that I didn't really miss home much. About the house - it has an amazing location. You have a beautiful view of the dublin hills, a nice back garden, all major shopping/eating giants like TESCO, ALDI, LIDL, McD, Dealz, etc at a walking distance. Bus stops which serve a good number of buses are just nearby too. I strongly suggest staying at Carl's. You'll definitely get the warmest experience of Irish hospitality.

I spend one semester at Carl's house and all was perfect : home, area : lot of shops and buses to go to UCD and city center. Carl is very nice and helpful.

I stayed with Carl for three months while I was doing research at UCD for the summer. While I was there, she was extremely accommodating to all my needs, allowed some of my friends who were visiting to stay in the house, and even hosted some of my family for dinner on several occasions. Without Carl, my experience in Dublin would have been vastly different, and I would not change anything about my stay at all. When we had the chance, we would watch the Chase together (a British game show) and drink our nightly tea with a fig roll, as well as eat evening meals together and catch up on our days. She also helped me navigate the massive campus of UCD, walking me to the building I worked in on my first day, as well as navigate the city. The house was comfortable and cozy at all times, and she made me feel right at home. I would recommend staying with Carl to anyone, and I plan on visiting again in the future.

Carl is wonderfully caring and I have been very happy here. The room is so comfortable and cosy, I spend so much time in it that Carl has to encourage me to go out and do things, meet people, etc. The location is ideal, very close to buses going many places as well as the LUAS. There are three main supermarkets, coffee shops, restaurants as well as two of the most beautiful parks around Dublin, Rathfarnham Castle and Marlay Park. When I am away for a few days and come back, Carl makes sure I get something to eat and there's always plenty of tea and coffee. The back garden provides a lot of natural light and the front rooms get the morning sun. This is a good place and feels in every way like a home.

I stayed with Carl for 6 weeks for business. I worked from her house. By entering the house of Carl i felt her irish hospitality. Carl had everything arranged wel and she is open in using all parts of her house. Washing your cloths or stalling your bike are no problem. But pay attention to the houserules. Every mornings breakfast is provided by Carl at your wish she buys milk, cereals or bread you like. Carl has a job to go to, so expect selfservice. Carl appreciates that you have manners and keep the house clean. The room is small, but good enough if you are out a lot. The location of the house is very good. Direct bus to the center, shopping center closeby and parks to sport. I suggest to buy a bike and enjoy the scenery. Enjoy with Carl :)

I'm a friendly and relaxed person who looks forward to welcoming many international guests to my home. I began with airbnb in January 2014 and have been very happy with all the guests who have stayed so far. I've had guests from Germany, France, Slovakia, USA, Mexico etc. I'm part of an amateur dramatic society so have introduced some of my guests to Irish theatre through the plays we have produced. I like having people on longer stays than one night as we get to know one another and form a friendship.
