The space
My retired mother Anne and I share in the running of Anchor house. The space is ideal for couples, single person, a couple with young children. The sofa bed is in the living room for guests, but we only offer one bedroom. The bedroom is spacious and the bathroom is part of your private area. Relax in the livingroom with the flat screen TV and we have TV tray tables so our guests can enjoy their meals or work on their laptops.

Guests will have access to the living room, large hall way, private bedroom with bathroom, closet, dresser and backyard. There are extra towels, pillows, and blankets in the bedroom closet. Extra washcloths and hand towers in the bathroom. Our guests have a private entrance. We are available for any questions or concerns, but the living areas are separate. We want our guests to be able to come and go at their leisure. We also have a patio looking over the Messalonskee Stream for your enjoyment. For our guests who are traveling with their Dogs, we have a secure fenced in dog yard that you can access from the front of the house. Cats are welcome too.

Burleigh Street is a unique part of town in Waterville. Large old houses on a quiet street along the Messalonskee stream. Many of the houses date back to the late 1800s and early 1900s. Mr. Burleigh built our house in 1915. He and his family lived downstairs and his favorite aunt lived upstairs. Originally a two family house.
