Villa Dharma was like a tonic of the best kind from the moment we arrived. The location is at the edge of the small coastal village of Kep and from the balconies there are spectacular sea views and a backdrop of the lush tropical foliage of a national park. The Villa itself is a beautiful example of traditional well ventilated tropical architecture with all mod cons. The swimming pool is also a wonderful place to relax. Perhaps the very best part of the experience was in meeting Oeun and Sokaim, the lovely couple who caretake the property but are much more than caretakers. They can arrange everything from delicious food to transport near and far/ excursions or virtually anything within reason. We also had the pleasure of meeting Alberto and Franco & his mother, owners, who visited the neighbouring Villa during our stay. They are very concerned that their guests have the best possible experience which we did. It was easy to do a lot or very little. The local crab market is a fascinating place to visit, eat crab and just observe. For us this was the perfect holiday and Villa Dharma & Kep are places to which we would love to return.

Had an amazing time. The villa feels hidden within tropical jungle above Kep village. Perfect place to escape and relax. The villa itself is beautiful, with gorgeous views from the upper floor. The housekeeper Sokhim, is a gem and looked after us brilliantly. We'll be back!

We had a really nice few days here. The staff who run the villa are very friendy, helpful, and professional. Sitting up on that balcony and taking in the views is a wonderful way to spend some time. However, there were a few issues. The downstairs toilet kept breaking and despite repeatedly 'fixing it', the issue persisted. Also, there was a real ant problem. We had no food in the bedrooms at all but ants still managed to get into the beds and caused us some discomfort. These small matters were a shame but overall I'd still recommend this place for a peaceful getaway.

Hi William thanks for your comments. Just a clarification, my housekeeper say that you brought a dog with you and he used to eat in the bedroom; unfortunately during tropical rainy season even the smallest crumb attract ants...You can check all old Dharma reviews and you'll see we did never had such a problem ..anyway sorry for the inconvenient of the bathroom...

We liked Villa Dharma. The couple who takes care of the house are very helpful and we had a wunderful Barbecue in the garden. A little to many insects for me. I know the house is settled in nature... But we not used to that. Iris

If you're seriously a little burnt out from the life/work imbalance, this place is definitely what you're looking for. You feel secluded but are actually a short hop from the Knai Bang Chatt Sailing Club and all of the crab shacks, but if you really just want to be on your own in a scenic location, it's really easy to procure gourmet French foods and veggies from the Deli at the end of the road as well as the Kep market. Just be wary of ants, but that goes for the entire country.

Villa Dharma is a beautiful house located on the mountainside of Kep with views of the ocean. The villa has a very nice yard with lots of plants and a great pool. The interior is nicely designed and comfortable. The staff are friendly, responsive and can arrange all kinds of requests. Would highly recommend to everyone and will definitely go back.

Villa Dharma was a real tropical home-away-from-home for us after 7 weeks of traveling. We decided to splurge after seeing the listing and are super glad we did! It is beautifully situated with great views out to to the ocean, magnificent sunsets and the lush national park on the other side. The pool is lovely with nice lounge areas, which we had to ourselves since the other house on the property didn't have guests. In Kep there is a French bakery to get breakfast supplies - and get in an early morning walk :-). The caretaker, Mr. Ouen, and his wife take great care of the place and help with whatever you might need.
