Zena was a lovely host, easy and gentle to be around. The house was warm and comfortable and clean, just as the pictures show. The house was in a great location for me, not far from the university, and I enjoyed a nice chat when I arrived and over breakfast, of which there was lots of choice! : ) Zena will make you feel welcome, which is just what you need in an AirBnB. Thank you to Zena
Extremely welcoming and accommodating host despite our very late arrival. Comfortable room in a pleasant house. Location very good for Derby.
Response from Zena:
Dear Mary Thank you for your feedback. I was upset to read your comment about the condition of your towels (and linen?) and would have appreciated your telling me at the time. I would then have been put matters right there and then. This is what I would have done as a guest and advise you to do the same should you encounter problems at another airbnb. As you know I had 3 other (non-airbnb) guests who had prevailed on me to let them extend their stay. I had an enormous amount of washing to do in order to provide 7 bath towels and I must have inadvertently given you some which hadn’t been properly aired. Please accept my apologies. Zena
Our stay with Zena was lovely! We felt so at home and Zena was so helpful, letting us arrive early to get ready for a wedding after a long journey. We were welcomed with a nice cup of tea (even with oat milk for us vegans!). Zena's house was a short walk from The West Mill where the wedding was held and we had such a good night's sleep, even our 7 month old baby slept straight through. Zena made us breakfast in the morning which was completely unexpected but very welcome! HIGHLY recommended and if we're ever back in the area, then we'll definitely come and stay again!
