Our elegant one-bedroom ground-floor apartment opens on to a leafy courtyard and is a few minutes walk from Melbourne St cafes and restaurants. There's a modern kitchen and spacious living area. Walk to the city or catch the free local bus.

The space

High ceilings, louvred windows and bi-fold doors that open to the outdoor courtyard add to the sense of space.
A separate bedroom has a queen-sized bed and plenty of room to unpack. If necessary an extra person can be accommodated on a swag (comfortable high-density foam mattress on the floor) in the living room. An extra charge of $35 per night applies for an additional guest. We have a fold-up cot for babies, and bedding, provided at no extra charge.
Furnishings and fittings are stylish and individual, creating a warm, welcoming home from home.
Cooled by natural ventilation and ceiling fans or air conditioning in summer, the flat has gas heating to warm you in winter. There's free wi fi, radio, TV and an excellent bluetooth speaker for your music.
The Adelaide Parklands and the River Torrens are a few minutes' walk away, and a free bus departs hourly from a stop just around the corner. More buses and taxis can be hailed a block away on Melbourne St. And for those who don't mind a walk, the Festival Centre, Adelaide Oval and North Tce are easily reached on foot.

Guest access

There's free undercover parking and the bathroom doubles as a laundry, with a front-loading washing machine and dryer, plus iron and ironing board.
There's a fully functioning kitchen with essential pantry supplies including tea, coffee and milk.

Interaction with guests

Check in is easy, and if I'm unable to greet you personally, I'm just a phone call call away and happy to provide guidance on what to do/where to go in the neighbourhood and the city.

This is an outstanding Airbnb in a great location. Hop on a free bus from just around the corner into the centre of Adelaide or walk. Lovely park on the doorstep, plus restaurants and cafes within 5 minutes walk. Deborah gave very clear instructions to get to the apartment and messaged us a couple of times to make sure everything was okay. She is a thoughtful and considerate hostess. The apartment is quiet, cosy and comfortable - beautifully furnished. We loved it!

From the beginning to the end this experience was a delight. Prompt communication made booking very fast and easy. Instructions were perfect and it's very easy to find. Apartment is as described if not much better. The apartment is located in a historic part of Adelaide and is surrounded by gorgeous old stone houses. Melbourne St's myriad cafes and restaurants are a 1 minute walk around the corner and the FREE city circle bus which will take you to almost all of Adelaide's attractions has a bus stop only 20 seconds away on foot!! The local wine shop on Melbourne St has a phenomenal selection of local and international wines, craft beers and ciders and there is a well stocked convenience store. Kitchen is excellently equipped for anyone coming home with bags of yummy food from the excellent city market. There is also an excellent gastro pub about 45 seconds walk from the apartment. All in all it would have to be said that Adelaide is a lovely city, this apartment is walking distance to the CBD (through the botanic gardens!) and most attractions or catch the FREE bus if you don't feel like a walk. This has been one of the best AirBnB experiences we have had and we highly recommend Adelaide, this apartment and this host!

We had a wonderful stay at Deborah’s beautifully decorated apartment in North Adelaide. The location was ideal being so close to the city centre. It was the perfect place for us to catch up with our friends and relatives at the local cafes and restaurants just around the corner. We had everything we needed with a well-organised kitchen and lovely breakfast supplies which were provided. Being back off the street it felt very private and quiet. Deborah was so helpful and prompt with all of our enquiries. We would love to stay there again and highly recommend Deborah’s apartment!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is set in an historical neighbourhood but is itself modern, light, beautifully furnished, with quality fittings and high ceilings. The bedroom is spacious and the whole apartment feels that way - the photos didn't do it justice. There is good security and the small private courtyard can be locked off and has enough room for a small car. The location is fantastic. The free city loop bus stop is just out the door, or you can walk to the CDB through the parks and by the zoo. There are restaurants and shops around the corner, as is access to Adelaide free wifi. Deborah provided excellent guidance on the house and local amenities. Even though Deborah was out of the country she arranged for family members to meet us and provide any help we needed. She also kept in touch herself. We had a wonderful time and would stay again if it were available. In fact, we would happily buy and live in it if we moved to Adelaide!

Deborah was a great host. The room exceeded expectations and was a lovely home away from home. The art and decor in the house is stunning. And the location is central yet quiet. Will definitely stay again!

The place was very warm, welcoming, and comfortable. I liked the location... I spend much of my visiting time in N. Adelaide... nice neighborhood, good restaurants, excellent wine shop on Melbourne. Place was neat, tidy and fun to be a part of. Street was quiet...easy to access and had convenient off the street driveway parking. I liked the decorations... rugs, butter molds, a bird nest, a wooden rocking horse, ... reminded me of home. Much recommended!

This is the second time we have stayed here.. is perfect for us to be able to walk everywhere and be close to the city... Till the next time - Thanks

I am a journalist, and through my work have come to appreciate the best our city has to offer, particularly its food and wine and its cultural events, which I look forward to sharing with my guests.
I live part of the week at our North Adelaide flat and the rest of the time at our home on the coast. I love our North Adelaide neighbourhood for its proximity to the parklands and the city, as well as the bustling Melbourne St cafe and restaurant precinct. When I'm in town I cycle to work in the city, and on the bike paths along the River Torrens. This is the way to see our city at its best.
I have travelled widely and I'm a fussy guest, so I've tried to bring that experience to bear to provide for the needs of visitors.
I love to cook and shop at the Adelaide Central Markets, and since the flat is my home part of the week, the kitchen is well-equipped.
I look forward to welcoming you.
