Other things to note
The Hokianga - New Zealand’s forgotten Shangri-La
New Zealand’s first discoverer, Kupe, arrived here 1000 years ago and, according to tradition, called it home for 50 years.
From a nation’s birthplace to forgotten treasure, the Hokianga is being rediscovered

The irony is that New Zealand’s oldest visitor destination is also it’s newest.
Here at the Sneezle Beezle Beach Apartments, looking out over the harbour entrance to the giant sand dunes, guests can make the journey back to New Zealand’s forgotten Shangri-La

Where you’ll be

Ōmāpere, Northland, New Zealand

This apartment with its sea views is just across the road from the Omapere Beach, 20 minutes from Tane Mahuta in the Waipoua Forest, even closer to the giant sand dunes for those keen to sand surf - and just minutes from the Opo the Dolphin memorial, the colourful Opononi pub and local fish n chip shop. For dining out we recommend The Landing Thai Restaurant and the Sands Resort, a short walk away.
You can arrive with your own boat or charter a boat to go fishing or exploring the historic Hokianga Harbour - while big game fishing grounds await.

Where did the name Sneezle Beezle Beach Apartments come from? The origin is the kids' book, Sneezle Beezle, that Bruce wrote for his son - who was living in Turkey - to teach him English. Intended only as a fun story for Dylan, Sneezle Beezle became a bestseller on iTunes. When he has time. Bruce works on followup adventures for Sneezle Beezle. Being based in such a special Shangri-La turns every day into an adventure.
