The apartment is comfortable for three people, with a double bed in the bedroom and a single sofa-bed in the living room. A fourth person can also be accommodated on an airbed.

The total size of the apartment is 36sq. metres.

Please note that the bedroom is painted an off-black colour as shown in the photos. This creates a cosy atmosphere, but it means that light does not reflect off of the walls as it would with white paint. The room is therefore darker than usual.

The apartment is also available for location hire for photoshoots and videos. It can work well for Scandinavian style interior and period Georgian building photo shoots.

This appartment didn’t quite live up to my expectations, based on the pictures and the pricing. It is situated in a nice quiet neighbourhood and there’s a beautiful little park across the street. Just a couple of hunderd meters away is a good supermarket and there are four buslines that take you to a wide range of destinations. A 20 minute walk north is the Caledonian Underground station, 20 minutes south is St. Pancras international train station and King’s Cross. All very convenient. The apartment itself however is not as roomy as the pictures suggest. It’s actually very small and there’s no storage space for your luggage so you need to leave it on the floor or on a chair. The entrance of the building and the staircase have seen better days and I found them unpleasant and off-putting. Inside you are asked to take off your shoes. Not because -as I thought- to spare the wooden floor, but to spare the neighbours. The floor is so old and creaky that it’s impossible to walk on it without making noise. Not very relaxing. There is another apartment upstairs, so light sleepers should take that into account. The bathroom again is quite small. It has a lovely shower, but no wall socket for an electric shaver. The bathroom floor could use a thorough cleaning. As does the rest of the house. One of the towels had big grey smudges on it. I wanted to cook in the apartment but for baking there was only one tired old skillet that I found impossible to use. I had to buy my own. Also, if I rent an apartment for a week I expect there to be (enough) washing-up liquid, detergent and bin bags etc.. I don’t think you can ask your guests to replenish the supplies.

Thanks for your feedback. It does say in our listing the exact size of the apartment - it is 36 square metres. We ask guests to take off their shoes inside the flat - both do avoid damage to the wooden floor and as a matter of courtesy to avoid disturbing the downstairs neighbours. The floor is a 160 year old original timber floor, so they are some creaks and imperfections, but this is part of the character of an historic floor in a listed building. The apartment was cleaned by our usual cleaner, and we don't usually have any issues, but I'm sorry if you don't think it was up to expectations - I'll let the cleaner know. The baking trays are in the small cupboard under the oven, and the pots and pans are all in the cupboard next to the oven - I would have been happy to clarify this if you had asked me where they are during your stay. It wasn't necessary to buy new ones.

This is a great spot for business travelers or those on a pleasure trip, but realistically couldn't accommodate more than two people. The flat is in a perfect location; close to public transport and Islington's Upper Street, but on a quiet crescent away from the main road. It was fun to pretend to be a real Londoner for the week I was there!

Ben's flat is absolutely lovely! It takes all the boxes for us wanting a cozy place to stay on our vacation. All in all, I would definitely recommend anyone to stay at Ben's flat!

Ben responded quickly to our questions beforehand. He waited for us in the appartment when we arrived and gave us all necessary instructions. The appartment is smaller than it seemed on the pictures with little room to leave luggage, so I would rather recommend it for two than three people, but it looks very nice and is cozy and convenient. The neighborhood is really very pretty and quiet and feels like a village within London. It is very well communicated with various public transport options nearby. Ben's Pub recommendations close by were really nice with no tourists.
