Built in 2013 on a 5.2Ha native bush block , BayRiver B&B is set in the winterless North, just a few km South of Paihia.
From the deck and lounge, BayRiver B&B presents you with spectacular views over the Kawakawa inlet.

The space

The bedrooms are located in a private wing, separated from the main house by the Breeze-way.

A free home-made breakfast is served in the spacious lounge decorated with large canvas prints taken locally by your host Frits.
Being a B&B, there are no cooking facilities available to the guests but there is a microwave above the fridge.
It goes without saying that there's also free tea and coffee in the lounge.

Fabric club armchairs to relax in the lounge to soak up the views or watch FreeView TV, BVN, Euro News, RT English and many more. There is a CD player/radio with iPad docking. Are you a keen musician? Well, the piano is ready to be played.

There is ample free parking space.

Guest access

You will have private access to your room or through the guest lounge.

Go for a walk or jog over the rolling hills and through the native bush. We've already made a few tracks through the bush. We are a stone throw away from the newly opened cycle track between Opua and Kawakawa.

Interaction with guests

We respect your privacy and stay well in the background. But, we are also quite happy to share a beer or wine on the deck enjoying the beautiful view over the Kawakawa inlet.

Other things to note

Our B&B is not suitable for children.
Being a B&B, there are no cooking facilities available to the guests.
We also have a self-contained unit available called The Shed, which is also listed with AirBnB.

If you’re driving and considering to stay somewhere around Paihia, BayRiver Airbnb will be my best recommendation. Hidden in a quite bush with wonderful view, Brenda&Frits’ place is one of the best Airbnb I’ve ever stay. Not just for the clean&tidy rooms, but also for their superb hospitality. The experience of staying in their place is much better than what we expected.

The host is exceptionally nice and friendly. We love the native bush environment, the "being like home" atmosphere and the warmhearted host that are always there to help and worry for you like their own family. We took our family dog with us and he absolute loves the place as much as he would say "i want to stay here". If you want to explore the local area in the local way, this place is a must. A big plus is that you will enjoy the million dollars view every moment you staying here. Brenda and Frits made our journey unforgettable!!!!!!

What a perfect place to stay at! The accommodation is well appointed, very comfortable and has everything you need. Fritz and Brenda are delightful hosts - friendly and welcoming. Breakfast each morning was plentiful and scrumptious. Nestled in bush with a view of the bay and so close to Waitangi, Russell and Paihia, this is a place I would highly recommend.

BayRiver Bed and Breakfast is situated in a peaceful bush/coastal setting. Waking up each morning to breathe in the atmosphere of this magical place, is such a blessing. Thank you Brenda and Frits, your manaakitanga ( hospitality ) is unequaled and I haven't stopped telling everyone who will listen, about how spoiled I was ( and Mark too of course ). Brenda, your breakfasts would have fed an army and your home made bacon and egg pies were eagerly anticipated each morning. Highly recommended to everyone looking for accommodation in the Bay of Islands, Arohanui, Te Miringa.

Frits And Brenda User ProfileFrits And Brenda is a superhost.

We, Brenda and Frits, are the proud owners of this brand new home placed on a 5.2Ha native bush block and being able to provide you with a fantastic Bed and Breakfast experience. We are looking forward providing you a great service and making you feel welcome. We both speak Dutch as well.

Come and enjoy a bush walk while you're here. It's a good exercise for your dog too. We are quite happy if you bring your dog. We have a few too. The dogs are not allowed to go inside the house. There is a kennel under the house and they can sleep in the shed workshop.
