Carlos's place suited our needs perfectly. Great location, pool and the place is clean and tidy and Carlos was easily contactable.

We arrived and we were taken to a tiny single bed, run down, horrible place, but I had actually booked a bungalow for 4 to 6 people with two bedrooms. We were later told there had been a misunderstanding. The other bungalow was dirty, dusty, completely run down, hardly habitable; it reminded me of a shanty town house. The curtains were falling apart, there was not even a glass window in my bedroom. There were no towels and the girl said that she did not have any. We had initially only one glass in the place. I would never recommend this place and I feel very let down. I tried sent Carlo a message saying that I wanted to stay junt one night instead of the two I had agreed becauser the place was far from what I had expected. He never came back to me, I never had the chance to talk to him or meet him. This is a place I would NEVER recommned and it should NOT be advertised in air bnb, It is a discredit to the company.

I have to be honest and say this stay did not live up to my expectations. The room was not ready when we arrived - 30 mins after the time I mentioned (6:30pm) in the messages sent before I confirmed the booking. We went for dinner while the girl (who was very nice) made the room. At 8:30pm, we arrived back and were give the key. Not that I expected a walk-around (since this is just a room in a hotel-type environment), but the whole process was rather blah. We did not meet Carlos in the evening or the next morning (when we checked out). I understand the space was BIG, over two floors (with lounge, dining room, kitchen etc), the hot water was excellent, but I have to say that it was not worth the price we paid. More worth $400 pesos then $1400. The fridge was not plugged in or cold. I discovered the toilet did not flush at 11pm (lucky I am handy, and made an adjustment to the float ball inside the tank), the bed I slept in did not have a mattress protector – just a thin sheet on top of the mattress, no wifi password written down anywhere. I’m not a princess – I have stayed in small hotels in Mexico (also, other than Air BnBs) ranging from $200 pesos to whole houses. I’m not picky, but I understand the value of money and the product delivered. I feel this is a small hotel that advertises on Air BnB to help fill rooms (nothing wrong with that). But BE a hotel or BE an Air BnB, according to the way the reservation came in. Air BnB guests are different to your hotel guests – they are looking for something different, something extra, something local, something quirky (they are a different animal to those who at made a reservation at a 4-5 star hotel).

We loved the location of the place. Although it was a little hard to find it. Gps was not accurate. So it is better to ask about the gas station described. The pool is a plus. Place is clean and staff is friendly. The only inconvenience was that the bathroom was leaking water and it was all over the floor and the sink was clogged so we had to go downstairs to wash our hands. We told the staff and they said they were going to fix, but they didn't. They cleaned the room for us as a courtesy. We had a great time overall I really recommend this place we will be back for sure!!

Great location. - Like advertised, a block and a half away from the beach. There is an Oxxo (like a 7-11) a block away for most of your needs and easy walking distance to Sam's Pizza. It's only a 10 minute walk to the main area of Santiago for shopping, markets, restaurants etc. Didn't meet Carlos until our 3rd to last day as he was on vacation, but still managed to check in without issue. The place was big and clean. Had an issue with the hot water tank, cleaning, and a few other things but Carlos fixed and replaced everything ASAP and all was well. We all thought it was awesome and very authentic, and a nice change from staying in an All Inclusive - where you really don't get a real cultural experience. This was Genuine. Carlos and his staff are very friendly and welcoming - Even a case of cold beer in the fridge upon arrival. There are 2 single beds in one room, a double and a single in the other. The beds are in a fixed position, and you're unable to re-arrange them. Just something to keep in mind if you're going as a couple or just a bunch of friends. The main picture of the sunset Carlos advertises is 100% TRUE - it's the view off the balcony from our room. Would stay again. - Thank you.

We had a great stay. It's close the the beach, even if the beach was a little hard to access, and the beach is lovely and quite clean with good waves. We had lots of fun playing in the water and digging in the sand. The house was as advertised and very quiet. Our family of five fit very comfortably and it was nice to have so much space.
