UPDATE - please read message in main description
Our Tiny Home cabin Silva is one of four hand crafted off-grid eco cabins set in a relaxing meadow next to a forest.
Silva may be Tiny but you will find the use of internal space means it is comfortable, a little bit 70's, stylish and airy with sleeping on two levels. We ask that you PLEASE read all details so you know what to expect, including our cleaning protocols. Thank you!
NEW - hot tub/sauna Spa available to hire!

The space
From 20th September there will be various works taking place at Tiny Homes.
First stage will be works at the car park area - some new fencing and removal of an old caravan
Second stage will be the build of two new Tiny Homes
Work could be anything from a couple of guys doing woodwork to small diggers on site to make pathways and drainage.
NO WORK AT WEEKENDS - you may see partly constructed cabins surrounded by Herras fencing for safety.
On weekdays the small team will start around 8.30 am
We work with this team regularly and know then to be respectful of our guests.
Work on site finishes before 5pm
We do apologise in advance for any inconvenience caused but hope you will be understanding as we complete our next stage to complete Tiny Homes Holidays.

About Tiny Home SILVA
Silva is the Latin word for forest or woodland, reflecting the wonderful Forest right next to us.
The interior is all about natural wood textures and colours with a hint of 70’s styling.
Enter through the main doors and you will find yourself in the cosy living space with two armchairs (that convert to single beds), folding tables and stools , coffee table, storage and the lovely woodboring stove.
Leading from this space is the kitchen with everything you need (fridge, cooker, storage, kitchen sink) and all regular sized.
Also on the ground floor is the modern shower room with contemporary composting toilet.
Up a ladder from the living space is an amazing mezzanine level with a gorgeous king size bed nestled into the apex of the Aframe. There is also a macame swing seat for you to relax in. Shutters ensure you will get a good nights sleep.
Like a morning cuppa? We also supply a waiters tray so you can manage those cups up the ladder….. you won’t want to get up in a hurry!

Although the listing is for two people Silva does sleep up to four (message before booking if you would like to upgrade) – in one king and two single sofa beds *If four single people the fourth bed is a futon and a fab sleeping bag combination.
The mezzanine level is accessed via a ladder.

Each of our Tiny Homes has the following facilities
Kitchen – cooker, hob, fridge with small icebox and plenty of kitchen equipment
Shower and WC – composting of course! The toilet is like a regular toilet but is waterless and has a separator - meaning that you wee in the front section and "everything else" in the back section - it's easy, honestly! Eco (bum friendly) toilet paper is supplied along with sawdust to use as you wish. Serviced on request by us - no trouble at all!
Charnwood wood burning stove - all fuel supplied
Pristine white linen and towels are supplied
Welcome pack - tea, coffee, milk and home made cake ... plus essentials such as washing up liquid and tea towels .
Outside deck – also outside seating and your own BBQ

The Tiny Home cabins are designed to be lo fi … but there is access to wifi in the on site studio should you need it. PLEASE NOTE – NO WIFI IN THE CABIN (you will be given a code to access the studio which is close by.

Our Tiny Homes are OFF GRID eco cabins and you must be aware of this before booking. As well as having the composting toilets we use solar power NB on cloudy days treat the solar lighting as gold dust! It maybe (rare but has happened) that you will loose the lights in the evening ..... lanterns are provided!

We can also book discounted ferry travel for our guests at great rates.
NB commercial photography / filming is NOT permitted by making an airbnb booking - please message for details of this

NEW - hot tub/sauna Spa available to hire. Ask for details - you can add this to your booking for the applicable fee - check availability before booking if it is a must for you!

Along with my husband Frazer I launched one of the UK's original glamping businesses back in 2003 - a field of beautiful shiny vintage Airstream caravans. Life moves on and we sold the Airstreams in 2021 to concentrate on our new venture - a meadow of eco Tiny Home cabins. We also own and curate a couple of heritage buildings that have been converted to holiday venues ... plus a gorgeous beach shack. Hosting is our full time jobs and we are proud to employ a lovely team at decent wages , all year round. Personally we love to travel and explore new countries and cultures and we both enjoy being out on the water - be it on a board or a boat! I am trying hard to learn Italian..... Hope to see you soon!
