This is a private, 2 story apartment attached to the back of our house. It is within walking distance to restaurants and shops, yet you are in a peaceful residential area out of the traffic. Guests say, "From the moment I walked through the door I felt at home, it has a marvelous relaxing vibe - everything clean and tastefully done”.
Whether you are an adventurous couple, a small family or a business traveler, I offer you a safe, relaxing and comfortable space, which is stocked with amenities that will make your travel more comfortable. The apartment is located north of the train/Amtrack station which is a quieter area of downtown. Some guests may however be unaware of downtown's train noise, which is distant & although rare, might be disturbing to sensitive sleepers. A set of two staircases leads from the downstairs to upstairs so mobility should be considered.
The apartment includes:Central air & heating.
Downstairs • A cook's kitchen which is equipped with coffee makers, full sized appliances and stocked with oil & spices. It has a dining table for 3.
Upstairs • Bathroom, bedroom and living/sitting room .
Outside Yard • Gated & private garden yard with BBQ, table & lounge chairs
Dishes are the guest's responsibility to clean (sorry no dishwasher). Bedding and towels are steamed cleaned. A yoga mat & collapsible pack n play crib are available.
There is 1 uncovered parking space next to the apartment's entry (look for flowers on the fence). You will receive an entry code and directions a few days before your arrival. There is no house number so goggle map directions are approximate and you must rely on hosts' directions that are in the link to my HOSTFULLY guidebook.
Interaction with guests
The apartment is a separate, independent living space that is attached to the back of our home, so although we are nearby, you as guests have your own secure space and privacy. I usually meet guests to orient them to the apartment. I can offer personal recommendations or direct you to our detailed guidebook. My goal is to help you feel at home, informed on what the area has to offer and to see that you return again.
Other things to note
I do not accept instant bookings because I want to ensure that my listing is a good fit for your needs, expectations & matches what I have to offer. The apartment accommodates no more than 3 people. Flagstaff is a community with diverse outdoor activities.
We want you to enjoy yourself however, please be respectful of our quiet residential neighborhood. Please do the dishes before you leave.
Our enchantment with Arizona began over 40 years ago when we first road through here on a BMW motorcycle en route to South America. Our family motto is it isn't our family's trip unless we have an adventure. and we'd like to see your adventures begin here too, as ours did. Because I have worked, lived and traveled in developing countries, I know what it takes to make a stay more comfortable! When traveling I absolutely pack a book/kindle, good coffee, a collapsible flower vase and my portable hula hoop. If you need any of those-I've got them for you! We are also long time Flagstaff residents who have explored and worked in the 18,000 square miles of Coconino County. We speak some Spanish and welcome an opportunity to practice speaking!
