Escape the city rush and experience the serenity of rural life in the quiet little township of Buckrabanyule. A neat little old house which was once the Buckrabanyule Post Office with a view of Mt Buckrabanyule, the home of Mindye the Rainbow Serpent. A beautiful spot perfect for viewing spectacular sunsets on a relaxing family getaway with all the benefits of a rural setting without the camping. Just 16 kms from Charlton or 24 kms from Wedderburn so food and other supplies are not too far away.

The cottage is fairly isolated so if your are looking for peace and quiet this is for you. There is no light pollution so the stars are amazing at night. The place is furnished to a comfortable standard and is spacious with room to easily accommodate 6 people.

We loved our stay at Mt View. The remote location was great for a 'true blue' Australian experience. We especially enjoyed a cup of coffee from the espresso machine on the front porch and the sunset form the outdoor dining area to the sound of the hills hoist. The check in was ea…

What a neat place. There is a fire hall and another home across the street, and a train track nearby but otherwise there's really not much for many kilometres. We stayed after landing in Melbourne on our way to Broken Hill. Everything was first class (there were historic authe…
