No teasing the squirrels...

If the chipmunk who hangs around on my deck stares at you through the glass doors while you are eating your breakfast, please give him some toast. He does not like bread that is not toasted and it doesn't pay to upset him (or her, I 'm not sure which).

Sharon is a great host! We planned an impromptu day trip to PEC to bike around the wineries on Closson Rd. and hoped to get started on that earlier than the check-in time, but Sharon allowed us to park at your BnB before we actually checked-in, which was really kind and helpful. Sharon is super friendly - we wish we could have stayed a bit longer to get to know her more.

We arrived at Sharon's after a day of touring PEC. Sharon made arrival easy, touching base with us to inquire about our arrival time. The room and bathroom were very clean. The room was comfortable, and included some pamphlets on the county which I thought was helpful. The breakfast was good and left us full for our tours that day. My only observation was that the common spaces felt very lived in and though everything was clean, there was some personal clutter that made the common areas feel somewhat less inviting. Also, it may have been nice to sit out on the deck if the yard and deck were better maintained. Overall, we were happy with our stay as it was clean and well located. Thank you Sharon.

Response from Sharon:
Thank you for pointing out that the common areas look lived in. This is the effect that I am going for. I actually do live here. There are many imperfections in this house and on the grounds - I make no attempt to make it resemble a sterile, perfect hotel. So I am pleased that you noticed.

Sharon's place is the right spot if you're craving that homey, cozy feeling you get when being hosted by a relative that really likes you. We felt right at home! The place was simple, super clean and very comfortable. Check-in/check-out was worry free and Sharon was super responsive. Having a nice chat over a delicious, homemade breakfast while watching the chipmunks and birds in the deck is the type of experience that makes Sharon's place unique and totally worth it. Thank you Sharon for this great experience!

Sharon was a friendly, knowledgeable hostess. I loved the location. You are in Prince Edward County but have only a 5 minute drive to town. I did not get a chance to tour the local vineyards but her place would be a convenient home base for anyone wanting to. Sharon sends you an informative email about her home and amenities, plus her rules and expectations of guests before your arrival so there are no surprises. Would I stay there again? Absolutely! Sharon made me feel very comfortable in her home from the minute I arrived. I stayed during her off season so the value for a week of accommodations was very affordable! Thank you Sharon!

I am interested in nature, watching the birds and small animals that come out of the woods to check out our back yard, campfires at our own fire pit, reading, enjoying "The County" life. Gardening, flowers, puttering around our peaceful 1.3 acre property surrounded by woods, visiting local wineries, farms, artists, and chefs, cooking a hearty leisurely farmer's breakfast for my guests. Having guests from near and far to care for and chat with as they visit the spectacular island of Prince Edward County, Ontario.
