The space

Treehouse is a comfortable studio cottage located four minutes walk from Galley Bay beach.
It is inviting and suitable for a couple or single person.
The kitchen has everything you need to prepare a large lunch or just a coffee which you can enjoy while sitting on the large shaded terrace surrounded by lush vegetation.
From the large bed you can enjoy a view of the sea with sailboats and large cruise ships entering and leaving the harbour.
Galley Bay is an exclusive area on the west coast of Antigua.
The area is home to luxurious villas which have all been designed to blend with the environment in perfect harmony with nature.
The nearby Galley Bay Hotel follows the same concept of luxury and simplicity with respect for the natural environment.
Shopping centers and supermarkets are located 10 minutes away by car and a small local shop in the nearby village can supply basic products and fresh bread baked in a wood oven.
Local transportation can be found at the village which is 10 minutes walk from the cottages.
A vehicle is recommended, preferably a jeep, that will allow you to visit all the remote beaches and the island...

This is a charming cottage set overlooking the sea with a great beach below. What more could you want? There is an old world charm to the space, but don't expect lots of mod cons. Although I cooked one meal in the kitchen, I would say it is fully equipped. The mattress is also quite soft, but there is a great double sofa bed in the main room that I liked very much. The rooms are large and airy and the front terrace is divine. I would recommend this rental.

This place is only suitable for stylish, classy people, with a penchant for the beautiful countyside and the sound of crashing waves, tree frogs and birdsong! If you have delusions of grandeur please go away, this simple gorgeous cottage is just too SPECIAL. And on top of that Marco puts the Super into "Superhost". In fact, I'm still lost for words! If you have the chance to stay in any property managed by Marco you are the luckiest person with a right to be smug, Treehouse, Sea Breeze, (or Halycon Heights in Dickinson Bay were he moved us to because he was worried for us with the impending hurricane). The beautiful Galley Bay beach is mere steps away and I image the resort is positively decadent when open and you get to sneer at its occupants from your balcony whilst still having complete privacy. Plus when open you can enjoy the use of their facilities and restaurant for a day rate fee, if desired. We enjoyed the walk to civilisation but be warned, there are steep hills and you'll need a car if you want to venture further than the local rum shack and fried fish/chicken/lobster joint. If you stay, please feed the birds for me.

This was truly one of the most wonderful trips my fiancee and I had been on and Marco had a huge part in that! He is a fantastic host and he went out of his way to make sure we had everything we needed to make our trip as comfortable as possible. From the very beginning he picked us up from the airport and took as to a supermarket on our way to the cottage so we could stock up on some food and upon arrival he had even upgraded us to the Spice cottage, which is beautiful and very spacious. He gave us lots of great tips as to where to eat in St.Johns and which beaches to visit. Our favourites were Deep Bay beach and Eden beach which are all walking distance from the cottage, and of course Galley Bay beach is beautiful too. We had dinner on the porch most nights listening to all the chirping frogs and the cottage is nestled in the trees so that's all you hear. There is a lovely lady down the road who sells water and fresh bread and then further down the road is a bus stop to St. Johns which we took every few days to stock up on vegetables, fruit and fresh fish. We didn't come with a car but found it perfectly fine to get around and we were put in touch with Marco's friend Omar who took us on some wonderful day trips around the island, which was educational and a lot of fun. Marco has done such a wonderful job looking after this place and he really does go out of his way with each of his guests. We are already planning to come back next year and I'm sure this will be a gem for anyone else who decides to come here too.

Stayed here in June for our honeymoon, and its a perfect private cottage. We loved this place. Its tucked up on a hillside, and the only thing you hear at night is the sounds of nature all around you. The place is well equipped with all the things you need to cook all the meals you want, and the deck is great with nice lounge chairs! Marco picked us up at the airport and took us grocery shopping. Stock up on this trip, as the villa is on a pretty secluded part of the island. My wife and I enjoyed spending days at Galley Bay Beach, which is a couple minute walk from the villa. We also explored Hawksbill beaches, which are also walkable. Keep in mind there are no beach bars at these beaches, so just come prepared with your own water, food (and pina colodas!) and you'll be set for an amazing time (note you can get day passes at the resorts that enable you to eat/drink all you want). We explored beaches all over the island, and these sets were some of the best. Another cool thing is that you can pickup boat tours right from Galley Bay Beach, and Marco can hook you up with those if interested. Also - take time to walk to the top of the road at the villa - truly spectacular 360 view of the coast line and the inland hills. We didn't rent a car and made do just fine. Marco connected us with a local taxi driver (Omar) who drove us all around and is awesome (he doubles as a tour guide). Marco is a super host and you won't regret staying here. Have fun for us!

Marco was the most friendly, thoughtful host. We stayed in Spice, with beautiful views of the sea from the balcony and just a 2 minute walk from a perfect beach, and plenty more to explore nearby. Marco's recommendations were all spot on, would highly recommend.

Marco is an excellent host. On our arrival we were upgraded to a cottage with a beautiful scenic view. He collected us from the airport and took us to the supermarket so we could by basics supplies. He gave us some excellent restaurants suggestions and provided contacts for any excursions we could possibly want (trip to Barbuda, day drive around the island etc). Would definitely recommend to anyone looking to get a rustic view of the island.
