Our cosy comfortable peaceful house, located within Barbarano's medieval walls, spreads over three floors and fits six people. Enjoy a wonderful garden, two fireplaces and experience the Italian countryside while being just 50 min away from Rome!

The space

Our peaceful house with garden combines the privacy of a countryside villa with the charming flavor of being in a medieval walled town. Its strategic position in northern Lazio provides our guests with an extremely multicultural experience whether they prefer to visit Tuscany (30 min drive), the Mediterranean coastline (30 min), Rome (50 min) or simply enjoy the Italian countryside, exploring lake Vico (15 min), the natural hot springs of the Popes (20 min), the Parco Marturanum National Reserve (5 min) or the close-by numerous Roman and Etruscan archaeological sites (5 min).

I urge my guests to get in touch with me or my son Daniele (whose english is more fluent than mine) to gather as much information as possible about their upcoming Italian adventure.

Lucia's house was spacious we a couple of living areas. This would fit 3 couples or a couple of families VERY comfortably. The back yard is great and has a good view of the forest beyond the walls of The town. Parking is just outside the walls of town and the house is a very short walk to the gate. There is a lot to do near Barbara Romano. Castles, beaches, the Monster Garden...too much to list. I loved seeing all of the nearby town celebrations and culture. And you can take a nearby train into Rome for sightseeing. The best part is the gelato stand and hiking near the gate. Internet into the town is spotty at best. This is true for all of Barbarano Romano so if you need to get a lot of work done then bring an int'l hotspot. I had to do a couple of payrolls, and my travel friend sold her house and put in offers on another back in the US via the internet and it worked just barely well Enough late at night for us to manage. We had such a great time in Lucias house that we will be renting from her again next year.

We had a wonderful stay in Barbarano Romano, the house was very comfortable and very nicely decorated, ideal for a family. From the garden we could enjoy the beautiful view on the surroundings and take breakfast, lunch and diner always in the shade. Lucia was a perfect host, she welcomed us very warmly with a bottle of italian wine and some food in the fridge. The house is also very well located to visit Lazio and enjoy the lake of Vico (a nice place to swim espacially for children). Our whole family will keep good and strong memories from our stay in Barbarano. Thanks again to Lucia

Grazie mille Lucia!

Response from Lucia:
