Nikki is kind and friendly, she asked me several times a day if there was anything I needed. Unlike some hosts, she seems to enjoy having people stay in her home. The garden is lush, large and gorgeous with several sitting areas. I was there in July and spent time at the house writing, and the space was perfect for that. I could see feeling a little cramped in the winter without the outside spaces. 3 rooms are available for rent, so the house can be full. The front and side doors are rarely locked, and my bedroom didn't have a lock. The neighborhood seems very safe, I walked around a night feeling at ease. The home is conveniently located - a 5-10 minute walk to Trader Joe's, Gold's Gym (with $15 day passes), and a few restaurants. Its a 20 minute walk to Whole Foods. I've already recommended Nikki and her place to friends, but I suggest one of the other two rooms in the house with bigger windows and more natural light.

Response from Nikki:
The window in the room you were in opens and the room gets a nice breeze. Also, the house is mostly empty since most people who stay here are tourists, studying, or working and they are out for the day and usually return late at night. If the house felt crowded, believe me, I would not be having guests stay. I have been working hard on the gardens, decks and the parking area- planting mowing , weeding, mulching, painting, repairing, etc. It is a lot of work and we have a short summer so I cram a lot of work into a short time. The vacuuming and doing dishes get knocked down the list. The guest areas- rooms and bathrooms are kept very clean. Since this is a home, not a hotel one would not expect locks on doors. I lock up at night and during the day I am working from home a good deal and am in and out. It was great having you stay and hope to see you again!

The place is really amazing and Nikki is a very warm and hospitable person. I had to check-in very late (around 11 pm) but she made all the arrangements and didn't mind answering the phone multiple times at night to give me the directions to reach the place. The place is very clean, kitchen is fully stocked and is in a very peaceful neighborhood. Nikki went out of her way to give me a ride to the nearest T-Station (Alewife-Red Line) in her car so that I could reach Boston to meet a friend. I just stayed for 2 days but felt like I was here for a long time. To go to Harvard Square from Nikki's place it would take about 45 minutes in Bus Route 77 (the bus-stop is a 15 min walk).
